NewMed Immediate Care - Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg

I brought my daughter here for a sick visit. The staff were super friendly, efficient, and caring. Yesenia at the front desk helped me with an insurance issue, nurse Elle and Dr. Julia were very attentive and addressed all of our needs. I will definitely be back!

I brought my son to get tested and scheduled an appointment in a panic bc of a reaction he was having. I arrived on time and waited an hour before anyone saw him. I was actually told that the wait would be an additional hour after I had already been waiting for a decent amount of time. I was extremely confused and angry bc I was concerned about my son and I told them I'm waiting regardless to which the MA pouted and almost immediately got a room prepared which told me there weren't any 'patients getting procedures' at 930 at the urgent care. Regardless the timing and the attitude weren't the only issues. I received no after pt care paperwork or anything showing I even showed up nor was I asked if I wanted anything to take. As a matter of fact this review link was the ONLY indication I had anything to do with this clinic. By far one of the worst urgent cares I've ever been to. Lack of professionalism and bedside manner. Please find somewhere else to go or if you can wait to see your primary I'd advise that option. And let me just add that it's very clear this place does not take time in their hiring process with the lack of quality staff specifically the MA.

My daughter who is almost 3 was seen tonight for ear infection. We were taken in immediately after checking and we were seen by provider Miss Grzeszczyk. It was one of the best experiences we ever had with doctor. Our provider was very gentle and playful. My daughter felt very comfortable and was not scared at all during exam. Doctor plaid with my daughter and examined her, and my daughter's little toy. She was beyond excited. Our visit from the check in to check out lasted less than 30 min. Isn't great? When you come with such little kids and you get great care with no waisted time. I'm super thankful for friendly front desk and so caring provider Miss Grzeszczyk.

Dr Julia Edwards and Front Desk Staff Richa and Lucya are great!!lthey assisted us with a big heart like our family without any hesitation. In a timely manner, they helped us resolving the issue by coordinating with our Insurance Company for immediate approval or authorization of a very important medical test that need to be done. Five (5) stars is not enough to recognize their above and beyond way of assisting their clients. Thank you so much!!!

My experience at this location was mixed. When I first walked in, I sat in the waiting area for several minutes without being greeted by the receptionist (I was the only one there). It took about five minutes before she even asked for my name, just asked for insurance and asked for payment before even being seen. Once I was called back, the doctor I saw was wonderful -- she was friendly, listened carefully to my symptoms, and prescribed antibiotics, medication for my cough, and a nasal spray. She made me feel cared for, and I really appreciated her professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. Before leaving, I verified with the receptionist that my prescriptions would be sent to my pharmacy, and she confirmed they would. However, when I went to the pharmacy later, nothing had been sent over. I tried calling the office several times, but the receptionist wouldn't answer or return my call (even though i left a voicemail). I ended up waiting about 40 minutes at the pharmacy, feeling very sick, before my prescription finally came through. Overall, the medical care itself was excellent, but the front desk service and communication definitely need improvement...i don't think i'll be returning.
