I came in to the calumet city location with my grandmother when I walked in the lobby was packed to capacity I approached the front desk and started the check in process it was a young girl with two braids a girl with curls behind her the girl with the braids was VERY UNPLEASANT!!!!!!!!!!! I asked how long would the wait be because I had to get her to dialysis she said ok well she won't be out of here before that rolling her eyes and breathing real hard the girl in the back of her was really patient she called me later that day and allowed us to make another appt when we were leaving a guy in the hallway said "it's ridiculous how long the wait times are but to get bad customer service was another slap in the face if your going to have someone at the front desk the girl behind her should be the face it's discouraging and I'd hate to have to find my grandmother a new cardiologist

My first visit was a 2 hour wait. The doctor visit was comprehensive. He was knowledgeable and understood some unique components to case. Second office visit did not happen when scheduled. Arrived & instructed to have a seat. After 1 hour was called up and told staff had called in so only 1 assistant today so I could wait & be seen or be rescheduled. Had already spent an hour so I waited Was then informed it would be about 30 minutes before I would be called back. Fine. 50 minutes later was called back to front desk & told "we can't see you today because we are short staffed & over booked, So we need to reschedule. As a healthcare provider and knowledge of scheduling snafus, my statement to the office was this: 1) Patients should have been immediately informed of situation and immediately rescheduled. Truly efficient offices would have called in back up or the supervisor/ manager filled in the spot so patients were seen &/or called patients at home to notify & reschedule. Patients should be prioritized so most acute are still seen that day. I was seen 2 weeks later. Since the above incidents, they have completely changed scheduling, not waiting for hours, now receiving texts to confirm appointments. If the rest of the visits go like my most recent one in December 2024, things have improved and patients should notice positive experiences as far as waiting and more effective & efficient staff.
