Patient
Four weeks ago today my husband Rick was feeling tightness in his chest. I brought him to the Emergency Room at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was admitted because of the chest pains and high blood pressure. The next day he was given an angiogram which indicated he needed quadruple bypass surgery. Dr. Malek Massad along with his assistant Dr. Aaron Manshaem and their team of doctors, performed the surgery the following week. We can't say enough about their sincere concern, care and professionalism throughout his almost two week stay at Mount Sinai. We would like to thank everyone, emergency room nurse Chrissy, to his nursing staff on the third floor, some of which were Michael, Diana and a few others we don't remember, to the surgical stepdown team and physical and occupational therapists. Everyone was so kind and caring. Dr. Massad and Manshaem were his main doctors, who were always humble and never were rude no matter how many questions or concerns we had. They never let their egos get in the way, when they and the rest of the team were most genuine and truly our heros. Words can not express how thankful we are to everyone. I truly wish we can remember each and everyone who was always so kind. Some names that come to mind in surgical stepdown are Vera, Amanda or Amy. Forgive us for forgetting some names that I wrote down, but the information got lost in my phone. We want to thank you all and for sure Dr. Malek Massad and Dr. Aaron Manshaem, Dr. Kovacs and the your team will forever be our heros. If we could give you 100 stars, that would be how you all are rated. A quick mention to Miguel who delivered his food to him while he stayed on the third floor, who was most pleasant and said a special prayer for my husband Rick. Sincerely, Rick Knes and Marie Bulvan-Knes
