Dr. Freed is compassionate, knowledgeable, and very professional. I have the best Cardiologist in the world with Dr. Freed. Dr. Freed is not a one size fits all Cardiologist. He is an experienced and skillful in making sure patients health is vital, he researches medications that best benefits patients outcomes.
Dr. Freed spoke at a Scleroderma Foundation Patient Conference that I attended. He was articulate and had information to share that was pertinent, especially to those fighting often overlooked complications of a Rare Disease. He stayed after his well attended session to answer questions from a long line of patients with cardiac involvement. The help he gave me during his class and in the 20 minutes he spent discussing my personal cardiac "mystery" made my trip from the west coast more than worth it. If I lived anywhere within an 6 hours drive of his practice I would be thrilled to have him as my physician. Since that is not the cases, I plan to have my own cardiologists and pulmonologist consult with him soon regarding my case.
Due to an unexpected hypothermia event about 4 years ago -- I ended up in the ER at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Freed was a physician I stayed with - as a couple of congenital issues were found. He is an excellent doctor - and one I trust. I never feel hurried to tick through my questions.
