"I am so excited to serve the community that raised me." Emily Townes, PA-C, is originally from Southern Illinois and is proud to serve the community where she was raised. She builds strong professional relationships with her patients, guiding them through a healing journey focused on patient-centered care--starting with the heart. Townes earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Well, the doctors may be well recommended but the office staff is terrible. If you have to have a preauthorization from an insurance company and I'm sure they KNOW it can take 2 weeks, you don't send it in 2 business days before the appointment and tell the patient, your estimate may be higher because we couldn't do our job. I'm not showing up for a test that by someone's laziness I may have to pay for. So the first time I got an appointment within two weeks, this time I have to wait almost 2 months!! SO RIDICULOUS. And stop trying to shuffle patients over to Harrisburg at 8 AM. I live in Carbondale for a reason.

I had Dr Zeglin for my cardiologist. I am very sad that she left. She was by far the BEST doctor i have seen. I had a fib. Had episodes for 2 years. Had 2 ablations to correct the problem. Dr Zeglin converted me each episode i had, which seemed to be every other month. The care i received was outstanding. Thank you Dr. Zeglin

I am canceling my appointment on Monday, January 29th at 2:45 pm. I called every extension at your office and was on hold for over 40 minutes. Since you will not answer the phone, this review serves as my appointment cancelation. Additionally, I emailed Prairie Cardiovascular corporate with the same information.
