Dr Chua is very thorough and patience. I really Like him specifically. The only problem is scheduling. You have to make sure before your appointment that they scheduled you properly and have gotten prior authorization for any testing because they will still allow you to go to the appointment even if it's not for what you originally scheduled for or if prior authorization was never received. A few days before my testing I realized that the live well app said my appointment was at a different location. when I called to ask why, scheduling told me that what I was saying I scheduled for never happened and the location was the same. which I screenshotted the address the day I made the appointment so I knew it changed but I wasn't going to argue with somebody that clearly didn't schedule the original appointment . When I asked them was prior authorization given they were hesitant to answer me and eventually told me no which was very concerning and led to a cancellation. Dr Chua though is doing a great job

Dr. Chua is an incredible medical professional, and I appreciate how proactive he is to get to the bottom of an issue. He is very thorough, yet explains anything you ask him to in layperson's terms. He has treated some odd heart issues I have and helped figure out why oxygen was not getting from my lungs to my heart as efficiently as it should. Great cardiologist!

At 30 yrs old I was put on baby aspirin for 2 years by Dr Chua and he wanted to start me on statins. For two years I thought I had obstructed carotid artery and didn't understand it. I eat healthy, exercise, tall and thin. My husband asked during appt if he looked at my cholesterol and he did right there and admitted it was lower than his. Someone recommended getting a second opinion. Went to Loyola and the Loyola Dr. called back and said my arteries are wide open and go home and have a pizza! I always remember this Dr. unfortunately and how he made me feel so awful for believing I had such an awful thing at such a young age. He always seemed nice but would not recommend Dr. Chua to anyone.
