I only gave him 1 star because zero wasn't an option. This man should not be practicing medicine. He totally blew my wife off who was having severe abdominal pain. He kept telling her it was a pulled muscle. It ended up being connective tissue that had wrapped around her intestines. The surgeon who saved her life said she was lucky. When I started having thyroid problems Dr Butterfield not only went 6 months between hormone therapy lab tests but he titrated levothyroxine all over the place. When I complained about the symptoms that my elevated T4 was causing he told me it was all in my head. My endocrinologist ended up taking me off of levothyroxine because I didn't have hypothyroidism I had subclinical hypothyroidism. Big difference! I actually have medical PTSD now from my experiences with St Anthony's starting with Dr Butterfield. Horrible doctor and horrible hospital system!

DO NOT SEE THIS DR! I rated one star because zero stars is not an option. Both my husband and I switched to Dr. Butterfield so we'd have a primary physician closer to home. I am getting ready to have surgery on a tumor that Dr. Butterfield told me was a swollen lymph node and to essentially not worry about. My husband ended up in the hospital a week after seeing Dr. Butterfield for stomach issues that he was also told was nothing. He seems to be totally aloof and doesn't take your concerns seriously. Save yourself the trouble and find a different DR. You will end up just seeing someone else when your issues aren't addressed/resolved anyways.

1 star because there is no zero. Trust me when i say he should not be allowed to practice medicine.
