Dr. Marek is the Founder of Young Hearts for Life which uses trained volunteers to deliver low cost and free screening for conditions that cause sudden cardiac death in student athletes. From the Foundation website: "Each week, sudden cardiac death claims the lives of more than 60 young adults in the United States." Through this Foundation, my son was given a low-cost EKG. I just want to say THANK YOU! I understand it takes a few weeks to get the results, but just having him tested was good for my peace of mind.
