Thanks for giving me an experience of being seen, heard and valued while delivering what could be perceived as challenging details about my heart, and my overall health and well being. The wait to see Dr. Notestine was literally 2 minutes. Because I checked in online before going, the initial visit with the nurse was another 2 minutes before Dr. Notestine came into the room. He is always professional and friendly. He listens to my concerns and makes sure I am comfortable with them before I leave. Very thorough and a wonderful, compassionate, caring doctor. I would recommend him to everyone that needs a heart doctor. The nurses there are awesome and friendly as well.

Dr Notestine always makes me feel comfortable. He is easy to talk to about your heart problems. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a great heart doc!

I was referred to Clinton Thurber, MD, by Dr Notestine. Both physicians are professional and caring. They both have offered next steps to get me on a path to wellness. I'm still a work in progress. With their recommendations, I'm hopeful for feeling better soon.

Overall I think Kootenai Clinic is an asset to this community, but individual doctors vary quite significantly, and I feel like in-demand specialists are the most likely to be rude and dismissive. The urgent care center seems to have a poor connection with the emergency room across the street and needs to have more communication/connection, and the ER needs to be smart and send people to urgent care too. I am extremely pleased with the quality of equipment used for medical testing, and in general I've found that doctors are actually close to on time. Most assistants are helpful. MyChart is awkward but doable.
