Had my first visit in July, set up a stress test appt and return doctors appointment that very same day, and I waited for this appointment 1.5 mth. During my time I was called a month ago and they canceled my doctor's appointment and I was scheduled out another month for October. Today I had to deal with a nuclear assistant who had less than stellar bedmanners, argued where to out the needle as I advised by prior knowledge where it should go to avoid breaking the vein. She finally adhered just to break my vein in my hand. I have had two surgeries the past few months and none of the nurses damaged or broke my vein. Clearly wanted to prove a point. I asked for another person, she walked out and never came back. I left completely stressed out over such poor behavior, why need to take a stress test period, this facility certainly ruined my day in more ways than one.

Dr. Seethala one of the best Cardiology doctors. When my heart stopped Dr Seethala pushed my heart back into life. Dr. Seethala is person blessed from the God. The second Docktor's name I not remember but everything that is the Dr Seethala tok to me is finely tru. This second Docktor makes me prossidgure and installed 5 stamped. God send wisdom both of this two Docktor. Lisy Docktor's assistant unusually person send me confidence as before prosidgure as during prosidgure. I was amazing when Docktor say me remaining just one more stems and we are done. Thank you as This two Docktor's as all St Alphonsus staff for your polite and best service in USA.

The heart institute in Boise is inept in the scheduling dept I filled out all the paperwork necessary for my appt online days prior to my appt. My GPS got me going in circles in the parking lot I was 10 minutes late in my arrival time which was 8:30 for a 9 AM appt. The scheduler said the DR wouldnt see me. No one at any time stated arrival time was a "deal breaker to see a Dr" at this clinic. I called the clinic at least 2 times prior to my appt.that I had waited 3 months to be seen already. The scheduler says she can work me in on Nov 23rd! I walked out and will go to the going to the Nampa Heart Center or somewhere else. I always had loved the Boise St Al's but they need to stress the "Dr's be 30 minutes early to your appts" to sit in the waiting area to wait! Another thing is why then send the paperwork out online to save my time???? Total failure to provide information and care that was and is desperately needed!

Do not believe it when you read or hear that this medical facility puts patient care first. You do have a choice for high quality care. My husband has been a patient of St. Al's Heart Institute since 2019 when he experienced A-Fib in recovery after back surgery. His initial physician was Dr. Columbawala who was awesome. At the time, we were living 250 miles from Boise, and Dr. C went above and beyond to communicate with him. He performed 2 heart ablations and inserted a loop recorder to monitor my husband's heart. Unfortunately, he left the state in 2021, (wonder why?) and Dr. Grimaldi took over. As far as we know, Dr. C has not been replaced, and he only saw Dr. Grimaldi one time when he removed the recorder. The other consultations were conducted by PAs. The patient care and communication has definitely declined. Several times, appointments were changed or canceled by them or he received incorrect information. Dr. Grimaldi's office has always conducted EKGs and signed off on my husband's 4 back surgeries. Most recently, they were contacted by Idaho Shoulder Clinic 5 weeks prior to pending surgery for the same requirements, which they completely ignored. The week before surgery, they finally responded after several requests by the Shoulder Clinic and my husband stating he had to make an appointment with a different office for the EKG, and the earliest availability was a month later! This is unconscionable. Idaho Shoulder Clinic contacted High Desert Heart and Vascular for the test, and he was able to get in the next day, one day prior to surgery. This avoided postponing his surgery until January, prolonging his pain, and paying a new deductible. He has transferred his heart care to High Desert and is no longer seeking care from St. Al's Heart Institute.

I've been receiving care from Margot Vloka since 2018. The care that I've received from her has been adequate. Saint Al's Heart Care as a whole, though, is grossly careless, incompetent, and bureaucratic. When calling the office, I always expect to be on hold from ten to twenty minutes. When providers return calls, they never leave direct lines if their call is missed. This requires one to traverse the convoluted process again in an attempt to return a call. Thus, more valuable time is forever wasted listening to elevator music. Additionally, the last three times that I've required a new prescription, I have explicitly left instructions regarding the exact pharmacy location. Whether this information is ignored by the providers due to carelessness or if it is lost in the bureaucratic transfer of information to them, I am uncertain. All I know is that the providers repeatedly send prescriptions to the wrong pharmacies despite my efforts to have this information corrected both in person and over the phone. I would report these complaints to the office, but I fear that it would be of no use. It would be like expecting a child to act as responsibly as an adult.
