I have been going to Dr. Costello for over 5 years as I have a genetic heart defect that finally had to be fixed in surgery. Through this journey, Dr. Costello has been fantastic. I appreciate his counsel and knowledge and I always felt good about my decision in choosing him as my cardiologist. I finally had to have my heart valve and aorta replaced on Jan 16th. While it is big procedure, opening up the chest and all!, Dr. Costello was helpful and explained every step of the process to me. Thankfully there is also a great surgeon in Boise, Dr. Farivar that was able to perform the procedure without any complications. I highly recommend Dr. Costello.

Dr. Costello is very patient and takes the time to listen and address all concerns. He looks at the whole picture and is incredibly thorough and diligent. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. The office staff is terrible. I assume they are simply overwhelmed because they never answer the phone and don't return voice messages.

Great bedside manner. Good listener. Knowledgeable. Made me feel good about my situation. Answered all my questions. I should add I did my research and asked around inside St Luke's to nurses and some doctors before I selected Dr Costello. He's a great MD and a good person.

Dr. Costello was great. He was pleasurable, listened well, and discussed options. My wife was with me and has decided to switch from another Dr. to become a patient of Dr. Costello's.

Dr Costello is a knowledgeable and highly skilled cardiac surgeon who is an empathetic and is able to glean information from his patients through various medical tests and through listening to their concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking cardiac care on any level
