Worst hospital I've ever been to. I went in on June 5th with extreme ear pain that started in the middle of the night, followed by a fever; the doctor checked me and said it was not an ear infection and said my throat was red (no throat pain at that time), gave me some antibiotics and pain meds, and sent me home. The following day 6/6, around 3 am, I woke up with a 104 fever and was unable to swallow or talk due to my throat being so swollen, so I headed back to the ER and was seen by Dr. Luke T Day. He was the most disrespectful and unprofessional doctor I have ever come across. I tried to type out on my phone to tell him what was going on, and he said, "You can talk; just talk even if it's painful." as I was trying to talk to him, even with the extreme pain he was staring at my legs the entire time rather than making eye contact with me. They gave me steroids, and I asked the nurse if I could be swabbed for strep since earlier in the day, I saw white patches start to form. Dr. Luke T Day comes back in and tells me, "Why do you need to be swabbed? It's not strep, I'm sure of it; I wish patients would just listen to me instead of thinking they know everything," and I asked how did he know it wasn't strep without swabbing. He said, "What will it change? You're already on antibiotics " (the antibiotics I was given the day prior are not antibiotics for strep throat). I demanded to be swabbed, and he just left the room. I could hear him tell the nurse, "Just swab her," the results came back that it was indeed strep throat, and he didn't even apologize to me. The nurse then told me the antibiotics I was on were not for strep and asked if I would be okay with a shot in the bottom that would help the infection. Luke T Day returned and refused to give me the antibiotic shot, which I felt was retaliation due to being proven wrong, and sent me on my way... I ended up being rushed to Pali Momi two days later on 6/8 due to not being able to breathe or swallow and ended up having a CT scan showing the infection spread (DUE TO BEING ON WRONG ANTIBIOTICS) along with lab work showing an extreme infection going on; It caused an abscess that blocked my airway. It could've been prevented if Wahiawa had done their job the first time around to treat me accordingly. I don't know how Doctor Luke T Day is even a doctor, as he was horrible and shouldn't be able to treat any patients. I plan to report him to his superior; hopefully, something will be done about him. I plan to report to my insurer as I was not appropriately treated and lacked care. The only good thing was how helpful the nurse Kenneth was that night and how he tried his best to help me and validate my feelings. He was what a nurse should be and did an amazing job although the doctor didn't help nurse Kenneth was great.

After a bad experience at the Minute Clinic in Longs with a rude clinician, I headed over here. I was treated really well, diagnosed and sent out with a prescription within less than 15 minutes. Skip the poorly run Minute Clinic and come here instead.

I came in the afternoon of a week day, no wait at all. Plenty of parking spaces were open. Staff was kind and courteous. Place was clean. A+

1st time visiting ER queens wahiawa, reason why I gave 1 star is I came in with my 5 years old boy who had a high fever and heart rate. We checked in and everything, they stuck and left us in one of the small room not like the room where get the bed but those room that has two chairs and small table for 2hr. I had to sit and hold him for 2 or so hrs trying to make him comfy. He started crying for home to lay down. I can see the nurses behind the counter looking without even offer or say anything, until a guy came and asked if we need a blanket. Huh? DUHh! I can see that they have plenty rooms empty and they did not even offer one to my son to rest his aching body. They talked and laughed loud. It was annoying especially that you are tired and tried to make yourself comfy in that kind of room. It's like they are there having fun and talk about patient and what not. Another reason why that star because we came home and I found my son's neck is swollen and they didn't even see it because they didn't checked him thoroughly, all they did including doctor asked me questions, listened to heart beating and left. Next thing a nurse came took a test for his nose plus I had to ask if they can take test inside his mouth too. Later a different doctor came and let us know that everything is negative only one is pending and I will see it next day on mychart the result because that they sent out for test. Until now I checked in I didn't see any result, also not even what they did show up on mychart, except the new appointment i set up w/ my son's doctor to see him next following day. First & last to come here except if I see they are improving maybe & that's maybe I'll reconsider it...

I recently visited the ER and I can say the front end staff was amazing. I do feel like I was racially profiled. The doctor took one look at us and he never came to the room. He ordered labs and an X-ray about 2 hours later a random nurse drops the discharge paper on my lap and told me I was discharged. I was shocked and he seen my facial expression, and then asked me did the doctor come in I said no! He took the paperwork back, and didn't even verify who I was. He then went into the computer and gave me a diagnosis when I asked isn't the doctor the one to give results and diagnosis? He then excused himself and said the doctor said I can leave I have xxx. When I asked to speak with the doctor he said no he has more important patients to see. I was weary that I had pneumonia he still refused to come show me my X-ray results. Long story short I went to get rechecked the next day and turned out I did have what I thought. Mind you they told me to take nausea meds for something I never said or complained about. When leaving all the doctors and nurses were sitting at their stations laughing away. I figured who was supposed to be my doctor because of the look he gave us leaving. You could clearly see the hate and disgust in his face the way he looked at us. If I ever have an emergency I will take the risk of the longer drive before I ever come back to Wahaiwa ER.
