The Dr. is good. He's funny and nice too, but very straight about health concerns. His nurse is also very nice. It would have been a straight 5 stars but his receptionist was rude to me. My new medical cards had not come in yet and I had the flu. Sick and all I had to tell her to contact my insurance company so they could send her a digital copy of my medical card. They did. The Dr was apologetic but I no longer go there.
Dr. Lam is good but the staff are not friendly and they make so much mistakes. The taller lady Tess will blame my family for her mistakes. She messed up my Papa's prescription to where we couldn't refund it from the pharmacy so that was a wasted $60. Also when we turned in a form required by Medicaid she told me she never got it even though we witnessed my Aunty drop it off to Tess specifically. Luckily we had made copies prior to turning it in because it was important documents. Just today my Papa had made an appointment and Tess confirmed on Monday that his appointment is today at 12pm. As we waited, Tess came out and asked why were we here when his appointment was actually for 2:30pm. So my 90 year old Papa with swollen feet had to deal with getting ready and walking on his sore feet twice today. It's 3pm now and his 2:30 appointment hasn't started yet.
DO NOT USE THIS DR OFFICE!!!! I wish there were a negative star option to rank here. Over a month and still no meds refilled, despite my repeated calls to find out what going on. Receptionist constantly claims it's either the pharmacy, or the insurance, or she left a message for the dr to call us back. No return call ever when they said they would call, meds called into pharmacy, but no preapproval sent into our insurance, lack of care that we are over a month now without vital long term meds, oh and when I start to complain about the service, the receptionist hung up on me. They are messing up, with their lack of customer service and lack of medical urgency and professionalism, and yet she hung up on me... WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER.
Great doctor. He really takes input from patients to come up with the best treatment for each individual. Friendly staff and lots of parking.
Dr. Lam is very thorough and takes the time to answer questions His staff is friendly. Glad I switched from that Haleiwa doctor.
