I've only been using this clinic for my primary care provider (PCP) needs for about a year and have so far been very happy with it. I like the online MyChart service, where I can send and receive messages from any care provider I've seen in the Queens system. The response time is very good -- even my busiest doc got back to me the same day. I can also view lab and other test results, which is very convenient. There's a bill pay section also -- of course -- but what I really liked was there was a function built-in to set up a payment schedule for bills without the hassle of calling customer service and talking to a live person. As far as the actual clinic, I've been very impressed so far. The wait time for scheduled appointments is almost non-existent, at least in my experience. So far, when I come on time to my appointment I get seen on time. Which is crazy impressive. I work in healthcare and keeping clinic appointments running on time, especially as the day goes on, is ridiculously hard. When I have an appointment I always bring a list of things that I know I need to have covered when I see my provider. Stuff like prescription refills or questions I need answered, or new issues that have come up. Between appointments I keep a running list in my notepad app and add to it whenever I think of something. Then when I have an appointment it's the easiest thing to open it up and just go down the list so that everything's addressed before I leave. And so far, the providers I've met with have been very accommodating and I haven't ever felt unnecessarily rushed. I do have a few notes on accessibility. I've recently become wheelchair dependent so my accessibility notes are most relevant to a wheelchair situation. The main building door opens automatically when you approach. There is an automatic door button in the hallway outside the clinic. The hallways inside the clinic aren't particularly wide but the workers are really responsive when they see me and make room. Likewise the exam rooms have enough space to comfortably fit my wheelchair.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had an appointment scheduled for several months. Was running a little behind and when I called to let them know, I was put on hold and then disconnected. I showed up for the appointment 7 mins late. I was told this Dr Derek Moro has a strict 5 min late policy and refused to see me. Told me I needed to reschedule and soonest available was in 2 months. There was literally 1 person in the waiting room... that's it. It's not like they were busy. This was also a new patient appointment so I guess I'm wrong but I thought new patient appointments are scheduled to last longer than normal appointments due to it being a first establishing visit? I was never told about this strict 5 min late policy when I scheduled. The receptionist was nice even though her hands were tied. I can't see a single reason why this doctor couldn't make an exception for TWO MINUTES especially after being scheduled for several months. I'm not sure what word to describe this dr as but not someone I'd want to be seen by if this is the way they run their practice. 0 stars

I have seen Dr. Uramoto at the Kapolei office twice now. I had been referred to her through my primary care provider as I needed an OBGYN to replace my IUD as that is not a service a family practice doctor can provide. The Queens Medical Center has very friendly staff and the appointment process is quick and easy; however, their organization for procedures, paperwork, and patient care is lacking to say the least. My first appointment was to be to replace my IUD but I was told I had to establish with the doctor first; which is understandable. I was told to make my appointment for replacement for 6 months out as they extended the length you can use my brand of IUD. Slightly alarming because I was not sure if this applies to my IUD, but I trusted the doctor and made my appointment before leaving their office that day. 6 months later I come in to finally get this procedure done and I had taken 800 mg of Advil as recommended. Upon arrival in the room I am questioned as to whether I made the accurate appointment as they just have it for removal and not replacement. I was irritated because I had specifically made the appointment before I left and explained the procedures that needed to be done to the receptionist face to face. At my second appointment I was then told the IUDs are ordered only after a consent form is signed and the pharmacy gets verbal communication from me the patient is confirmed. At which time, the pharmacy will mail it to my doctors office and then I can make my appointment. Fine. I sign and I leave awaiting a call. Over a week later the pharmacy calls me and verifies that I need the IUD sent to Dr. Uramoto's in Kapolei as I also gave them my Kapolei address. I wait for text confirmation that the pharmacy sent the IUD and so I call and make my new appointment for today. One hour before my appointment I get a call from my doctors office asking if I can come early. I could not so I showed up at my appointed time. Upon arrival, the medical assistant is practically opening my bag to get the IUD that was to be shipped to them which she had no knowledge of as it was not recorded in my chart. I am placed in a room to wait while she looks for my IUD. I am told just a short time later that it was sent to an office in Hawaii Kai where I have NEVER been seen and I am more than welcome to reschedule. At this point, I am livid because I have made three appointments with the expectation of getting this procedure done and taken medication twice to prepare as recommended for no reason. I explain to the assistant that I am not rescheduling yet again because I will be searching for a new doctor because clearly they are not capable of taking care of their patients. As I am walking by out I tell her I will be changing doctors and offices because I am not happy as I gone through this three times already. I had to call their office back in order to get the location of the Hawaii Kai address as it was not coming up on google in hopes that I can get through traffic and pick it up before their office closes so that when I find a new doctor they can do the procedure as soon as possible. I am usually not one to write reviews at all and give positive ones because I feel the negative ones can really damage a business without enough information. With that being said this is experience with this doctor and office has proved difficult and problematic for three times now and that is just too many for patient care and safety. Thank you for reading and sorry for the long post!

Some of the worst medical care I have ever gotten. Went to the facility for a sleep aid which I have had on the mainland. The nurse they had me see came in with what looked like a sheet off Wikipedia showing how I could sleep better with turning the lights off, keeping my room cold etc. I explain I've tried and do many of the things. She said she didn't feel comfortable providing me medication. I then went and got blood work under the doctors orders before they approved the medication and they still are not willing to prescribe me anything. The service continues to decline as places have fewer and fewer actual doctors to see.

NEGLIGENCE. Elton keeps disregarding the referal request from my Neurogist. They have over 59 times disregarded my phone calls to see a doctor, make referalls, make appointments, forgotton my request, erased from my record over 100 times of their negligence and wrong doing and their screw ups. They tell my false statements and mislead me. Giving me dead end arounds and bad advice. Doctor took two years to come up with only a suspected diagnosis. Two and a half years i had polycystic kidney failure disease, artherosclerosis, nephrosclerosis, and osteoporosis. And never said nothing about it , nor making a diagnosis UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT OR CURE IT ! And numerous other times of receiving hassles with front office staff whom refuses to cooperate. So i had to go find another PCP doctor.
