Robert Styperek, MD, FHRS, FACC, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist. Dedicated to patient care in Rome since 2002, Dr Styperek is deeply committed to the care of all his patients and is driven by his compassion and desire to support their whole health. Dr Styperek earned his medical degree and completed his residency program in internal medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. Along with providing his patients with exceptional care, Dr Styperek enjoys snowboarding, wake surfing, traveling and shooting. He also speaks fluent Polish and some Spanish.

Dr. Styperek is one of the few doctors in this area who will tell you like it is! He is kind and super intelligent. His office staff is friendly and knowledgeable especially Mrs. Greene. I'm able to sleep at night without the fear of waking up and feeling sick and scared because my heart was beating so fast. He didn't jump to surgery until he was sure that he had a plan. If more doctors were as smart as him; there would be a lot less disgruntled people. He is the best!
Dr Styperek is a wonderful Dr. I went in to get my device checked and was called back immediately without any waiting time. When I was finished I was told that Dr Styperek wanted to see me. It wasn't a scheduled appointment. He just wanted to ask how I was doing. I'm so glad he did because i had been wanting to ask for recommendation for a cardiologist in Rome. Mine is in Gadsden, Al. He recommended Dr Tanner and had his staff to set me up with an appointment. Dr Styperek made me very comfortable and took his time answering all my questions. I will and have recommended him to a lot of friends and family.
He was very nice and very thorough and to the point. He didn't mince his words on anything at all. If I had a question, he was very quick with the answer. I really appreciate that. He knows my sister, but everyone knows her, she is a Nurse Practitioner and also one of his patients. I like him and his staff.
Extremely lovely people there. Each doing the things to make your visit satisfactory and rewarding. Great care was taken involving the medicines and sharing the knowledge of each. A wonderful Doctor Styperek visit.
I was impressed with this doctor but also concerned that my now 24 years of experience having this device implanted, undergoing numerous changes, researching each and every aspect of ICD, plus expressing concerns on my device was less than important. If the new, very scary concerns are not immediately addressed I will drive back to Illinois. I do not want to ignore these warnings.
