About Dr. Central Georgia Heart Center: Janet Whitehead, NP
Janet Whitehead, NP, joined the practice in 2015. She practices in the electrophysiology clinic. Janet has worked for 9 years with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. She also worked for 3 years with Dr. Jones in the cardiac catheterization lab at the Medical Center of Central Georgia where she circulated catheters, stents, balloon pumps and pacemaker implants while providing IV support care for the patients. Janet served as the nurse educator and helped develop the 90 minute door-to-balloon protocol for the myocardial infarction (heart attack) team.
