I have been going to Dr. Harper's office for over 15 years. After I had my second child, I started taking her there for care. Not to mention, I go there as well. I have seen employees come and go however, the front desk staff there now is has no customer service skills and are very rude. I have had several unpleasant experiences this last couple of years. I started searching for other providers, but didn't want to leave Mrs. Trent or Dr. Duncan until today. I called on yesterday to schedule my daughter an appointment because she had pink eye in one eye. When she woke up this morning she had ut in both eyes. I go to my scheduled 10:15 am appointment and was told I didn't have an appointment. I didn't just show up to the office without having spoken to someone to schedule that appointment. I could have saved a wasted trip and to her to an Urgent Care instead of making an appointment there. Noone knows who took my appointment and wanted me to bring her back at 1:30 pm. I have to be to work at 3:00 pm so no, I was not able to bring her back. I drove around and finally found an Urgent Care to that wascable to see her immediately. Needless to say, my kids and I will be finding another provider.

This office has absolutely no respect for their patient's time. They setup an appointment at times when they know they're not going to be able to see you. You wait around for 30 minutes to an hours to get called back or once you're back for a doctor to see you. I've been a patient there for many years. I try to only see them at physical time. I go to the little clinic if I have an issue. Well, I've had it with their unprofessional service. Doctor Trent told me not to schedule a 1:30 PM appointment if I don't have time. I've been back there for over 30 minutes. Why should it be so difficult? I can hear them chatting while I'm waiting. Ugh! Looking for a new primary.

My parent was a former patient. My family and I called the office several times trying to speak to the doctor or his nurse to discuss my parent's condition. We felt that hospice nurse care was needed As the care provider we understood that the doctor needed to order that. There was no response and we did our best to to provide comfort until the end. I post this in the hope that this medical office will do better.

Our family of 8 has been with Dr. Harper for over 27 years. He's cared for me, my husband, our 5 children and aging father and grandparent. I can attest his care and his staff care for our family has been amazing throughout the years. Has there been one offs of not the best service, ie waiting time or rude staff, yes. However it's not been enough to change to another doctor or facility. Where there's been a mishap with follow up or follow through, I simply called to reiterate and it was handled immediately. I can vouch Dr. Harper is one of the best family doctors in DeKalb County!!!

I only gave it 2 stars because two of the doctor's they had there was very rude. She was unprofessional and rude. When I was there getting my physical this one doctor kept bragging to me about being a doctor to stars, but she couldn't tell me who they were..I NEVER asked or cared who she was a doctor too. My ONLY concern was myself. She may have been a doctor, but she is VERY immature and THAT made me VERY uncomfortable...I don't need a star struck doctor doing anything for me or my Son. At any rate another time I went there was another doctor...the first one I just spoke about was gone shortly after I was there...at any rate another old bat doctor was extremely rude! She was rude as hell. I can't stand the fact when you call there because you or your child is very sick and they direct you to go to the emergency room instead of having you come into the office!!! Dr. Harper is a good doctor, but his staff REALLY need to be trained to have customer service skills. I too have called there and been placed on hold for 5 minutes. I had to call back and tell them why I refuse to hold again, just to be placed on hold again AFTER I JUST TOLD THEM how long I was on hold for before. I have had very good doctors' in the past, but their staff messed it up! I no longer go to those practices. I'm almost out the door of this one.
