Dr. Rice and his team were amazing. Everything was explained clearly, from the surgery to the recovery. My surgery (CABG x 3) was performed on a Monday and I was on my way home Thursday. Follow-ups were prompt and informative.

Dr. RIce recently performed lung surgery on me. I received the best medical care prior and post op. He thoroughly explained in detail the procedure and what I could expect post surgery. The surgery performed by Dr Rice went very well and with zero problems. He he definitely my doctor of choice. Amazing medical knowledge. Dr Rice is awesome! He repaired my mitral valve which saved my life. Before surgery he carefully explained what was wrong with my heart, what he would do to fix it and what would happen if I opted not to have the surgery. Obviously a skilled surgeon, he is able to explain the intricate workings of the heart in a manner that the average person can understand. During surgery he kept my wife informed of the progress and explained how things went immediately afterwards. His post-op care was equally impressive, telling me exactly what I should expect and the criteria I needed to meet to be discharged from the hospital. His PAs, Jennifer and Rhiley, and Nurse Patricia are also outstanding. As I look back on this experience, Dr Rice definitely helped prepare me mentally for this challenge - I knew exactly what to expect going in and everything he told me was accurate. I am glad that I chose him for this surgery and would seek him out again in the future. I recommend him without hesitation.

I went to the hospital for a heart catheterization and found out I had a 90% blockage in the left main artery (the widow maker) which could not be stented due to the blockage and location. Dr. Rice and his team came into the room to see me, my husband, and my mom. He explained in detail the procedure and took time to answer all of our questions. He didn't rush us at all and has great bedside manner. After the surgery he came to see me everyday and was very encouraging. I received great care and follow-up from him. I wouldn't hesitate to have him help any of my family or friends. Awesome surgeon! And his PA's are awesome too!
