A very unprofessional office. I was a patient there for over 5 years. It starts at the top, the Dr. I was being treated for hypertension. My blood pressure was never high, but he insisted I stay on blood pressure medication. I ended up in the hospital with a suspected stroke. It turned out to be hypotension. I had complained for over a year how my BP was low, he ignored me. My last visit was November 2024. His staff insisted I owed a copay for my INR test. 1st they said they tested me at their new office. Which I didn't. Then they said it was at their Sharpsburg office. Which it wasn't. I've been doing my own testing for years, reporting my results to Acelis, who report it to Dr Murthy. When I got called back to see the Dr, I told him what just happened. He didn't want to discuss it. He went into this long drawn out discussion about Medicare fraud was a serious matter. He then said we wasted my visit time on this. When I got outside I called my insurance company to see if they paid them for that INR test. They said they declined to pay the full amount they were asking, and noted to never pay for INR tests from them again. I contacted Piedmonts billing office and told them why I refused to pay the copay, they agreed with me and removed the bill. Since then I switched to Dr Khan in PTC. Do no harm doesn't seem to matter at this office. Whether it's not listening to the patient and over prescribing medication, to billing for something that never happened.
