I had been going to a cardiologist in Augusta for several years when he left for another practice. When I called there for an appt. I was told they did not accept my insurance. I later spoke with the doctor & he apologized for this problem, then I asked if he could recommend a new cardiologist for me. Without hesitation he told me to go see Dr. Janet Utz in Aiken. Long story short, I took his advice, made an appt, & have always been very thankful that he recommended Dr. Utz to me. She is an old school type Dr. who believes in doing things the right way. She has always made me feel very comfortable, & regardless of how busy she may be, she always takes the time to listen to me.
Unfortunately, today, 5-3-21, I was told the sad news that Dr. Utz is no longer with Carolina Heart & Vascular. Nothing against the other fine doctors there but I have every intention of finding where she has moved to because when you finally find a very good Dr. you want to stick with them!

Extremely disgusted with DR Utz to the point of leaving her practice. Hardheaded is not even close to describing her. She cares more about winning an argument than caring for her patient in my opinion. Asked her for a cardiac release to come off a blood thinner so I could have a spinal procedure done. Several other doctors said it would be perfectly safe, especially since I have an IVC filter in place. She refused to coordinate her care with a noted pain management specialist and I cannot have the procedure done in a timely manner until I can enroll a diferent cardiologist. Thanks a lot, Dr. Utz for keeping me in pain needlessly.

I just went to my 9 am appointment and the office was closed. Nobody called me to reschedule!!!!! Is my time, as your patient, as a human, not important enough for you all to consider calling me?!? The lady at the office across from yours says she sees this happen way to often. That...is ridiculous!
