Douglas County has never had a good reputation which why I have never been but the Labor and Delivery is AWESOME-my daughter had complications with her birth and the whole team was on it. Nurse Sissy is a complete gem-she rock I can not say enough about this lady she went above and beyond and I appreciate you. The Anesthesiologist Dr Pham is greatest-great bed side manner he is FANTASTIC he assured my daughter that he was going to take care of her and he did just that... These two alone turned a difficult and terrifying experience into something positive. Like I said the whole team is AWESOME but these two ROCK!!!!

My dad had been in the hospital for a week and every one of his care members have been nothing but really nice, attentive and caring! I visited from out of town and stayed a few days to keep my dad company and there wasnt one time here I felt as though he wasnt being taken care of:) The hardest part about hospitals is wanting answers as a patient and sometimes those dont come as quickly as we would like. I appreciate all the work that went into, and continues to go into finding results for my dad, especially with how busy you all were and low manned. Keep up the great work and just know that you have a lot of fans!! Its easier for people to write bad reviews and not take the time to write a good one so I hope this helps! Working in a hospital setting is not easy and I am so thankful to know we have a lot of smart and amazing people finding more answers to illness so that we can live longer!

This is the nastiest hospital. Sat out in the dang hallways. Beds left uncleaned after patients. Trash from patients left on the nurse's stations. Unclean areas where you wait. Druggies in the waiting rooms are just nasty. They seem to just all gather here. There is no urgency to no one. This hospital has just gone down year after year. There are sweet nurses and Pa's that we have met that do not deserve to be in this place. They build the children's area to leave the adults side in ruins. They need to add on or do something. It's unreal to have your private business out while your sick and unwell sitting in the dang hall people hollering and laid out. Just disgusting hearing people's nosie and nonsense it's pathetic. The privacy act should have something to do with this

I didn't necessarily have a bad experience, but it wasn't the most positive one either. From the time I walked into the ER there was a woman who seemed to be in extreme pain; the nurses handling her seemed to have no care or compassion for her at all, not super comforting when you're walking in to get treated by the same people. There was another instance where a nurse came out and immediately got rude with this man checking in out of nowhere; there was no patience or concern displayed yet again. I was able to see the PA pretty quickly, but she didn't seem too interested in a full explanation of my presenting concern. It felt like she was just checking off boxes as opposed to treating me. After not finding anything in my eye, I was sent home even after explaining the pain, the discharge, and how I could not even close my eye. I thought she would've at least flushed it even if she didn't see anything due to what I had communicated. Overall, I was frustrated with the lack of care and concern displayed across the board. It seems as if the entire staff could use a training in cultural humility and just overall customer service. I work in the mental health field so I understand compassion fatigue and burnout firsthand, but even then you shouldn't sacrifice the quality of care.

When my husband fell from a ladder, with an obvious injury to his wrist, they were on it in a matter of minutes. They were attentive, covered the steps and then when setting his wrist, they didn't like the progress and were quick to redo everything that was needed. In a stressful situation, they never once made it difficult and were great at calming us down. From someone who rarely has to use an emergency room, this was a pleasant experience considering the situation.
