Ethne Health - a community clinic

I moved to the area 2 years ago and have been a patient of this practice since. This is one of the most professional and caring medical office. The front desk and nurses are very kind. My pcp is a nurse practitioner and she is very kind, empathetic and knowledgeable. She takes her time and listens to my needs. All the other doctors in the office are also extremely competent. My family and I feel very seen here.

I am blown away at the level of attention, efficiency, and care that this office brings. They run like a perfectly oiled machine with each department integrating seamlessly. They are the golden standard

I haven't been impressed with the practice in the last year or two. The last two visits have been subpar, but in general I've felt that things have gone downhill. Once, after scheduling a visit with the MD, I was surprised to see a FNP walk in. I told her that I had made an appointment to see the doctor and she replied, "Dr. Kim is a little busy so I'm going to work with you if that's okay." I wasn't happy about it. I made an appointment to see the doctor, not a FNP. Nothing against the FNP, but that's not who I made the appt to see. I understand that MDs get busy, that's fine - I can wait. My appointment should be honored with the provider I indicated and in this case, it wasn't & I was just expected to be fine with it. Another time, whilst working with the same FNP, I described symptoms to her & felt largely dismissed. She made guesses about what was going on with me & didn't seem to listen to what I was actually saying. She ordered bloodwork that had nothing to do with what I was complaining about (and it came back normal, obviously, because that wasn't the issue) & more or less glossed over what I was actually telling her. It was frustrating. It's like she could only see what she wanted to see & couldn't hear me explain what was actually going on in my body. It was a wasted visit. Additionally, she said she would call after the appt to go over more options if the bloodwork came back normal and she never did. I never heard another word from the practice. I have come to this practice for years. The first couple of years seemed to be great (6 or 7 years ago), but in the last year or so it's just not seemed to hit the mark the way it used to. Additionally, the visit described below (which I wrote a while back in my original review) occurred in December 2022 and, while an explanation was given, patients should still never have a visit with a medical provider in a parking lot in the rain, especially after paying for it. That's just indefensible. -- The bad visit happened a little bit ago. It was 12/2022 and I had the flu. I didn't know that's what it was initially, so I came to be tested and to be treated. An RN came to the waiting room to swab my nose and throat and then returned later to tell me I had the flu. Right after she said, "Is there anything else you need?" I told her I wanted to be seen by a doctor, as I'd paid for a visit and not just a flu test. She told me to wait in my car and a NP came out and examined me *in the parking lot* while it was raining. I couldn't understand why I couldn't come inside. I was masked and simply wanted to be seen in a medical office, not a parking lot. It was strangest and least professional visit I'd ever had with Ethne. I paid them for a standard medical visit, which should include being seen by a doctor inside the building, and they sent someone to examine me outside, in the rain, in winter. I actually haven't seem either that RN or the NP since that time, so I don't know if they even still work there. But my hope is that was just a major error on their part; I don't believe it reflects Ethne as a whole but it certainly jarred me.

Amazing clinic, doctors, & staff-- so friendly & gentle. I go to Dr. Esther Kim and she really cares about her patients, she takes her time, listens & offers suggestions. The nurses are so friendly. Their new building is spacious & beautiful. I had an appointment & didn't have to wait long to be seen. In comparison to the other clinics I've been to in the past, this one is the best!

Everyone in my family is a patient at Ethne Health. We have been so pleased by their service and care. When we have needed sick appointments, they always work us in very quickly. Everyone is always so friendly from the front desk staff to the doctors. We always feel like the doctors and NPs take time to really listen and speak with us about our care. I highly recommend Ethne Health to anyone in need of a care team!
