Dr. Charlie C. Rouse, MD

Dr Rouse is amazing. My first visit with him was in November. With everything I told him and my ekg he sent me straight to the hospital. By the end of the week I was having a triple bypass. He saved my life. I am forever grateful to him.

4.5 stars for Dr. Rouse. He provided good care. It is very hard to get an appointment to see him. About a 6 month wait to get on his calendar. The one big downfall is that the front desk staff is extremely rude.

The wait times definitely need to be worked on but I know first hand that it is because Dr. Rouse, and the staff at West GA Cardiology are doing their best to treat people as PEOPLE, no matter how overbooked they are. Dr. Rouse, or Lorie Startup, NP never WANT to turn any person who needs help away. Even if that means overbooking an already tight schedule at times. The support staff (clinical, front office, billing) also goes above and beyond. They call to check on patients, make sure they have samples if possible, raised money for patients in need, donate gifts every Christmas to families in need, and even have driven a patient who was left at the office with no ride home just to name a few things. The providers work tirelessly, running back and forth between the hospitals, and the office and STILL find time to help the community. He is the most down to earth, humble doctor you may ever meet, and Lorie is a regular Florence Nightingale! And you rarely ever hear them complain. That's how you know it is a true calling. These are definitely the people I wan caring for me and my loved ones, because I know their hearts are in the right place.

Dr Rouse has treated my family for years. He is kind, compassionate, and a leader in his specialty. He blends traditional western medicine with an open mind to the holistic approach to patient care. His treatment plans are individualized as he treats the uniqueness of each patient. He incorporates exercise, massage therapy and realizes how the day to day stressors of daily living affects our health. His staff is efficient and professional. I highly recommend Dr Rouse.

I was admitted into Tanner Carrollton with chest pains. He has been very thorough in my care. He has a very calm demeanor. I observed him explaining a technique to a nurse and he was so gracious and kind, not demeaning in any way. His team is also amaaaazing. I highly recommend him! What an asset to Tanner!
