Dr. Steven Clements is the most amazing physician and most amazing cardiologist anyone could ever hope to have! I say that as a wife to my husband that has been under Dr. Clements care for many years now. I also say that as a Registered Nurse working in ICUs for 46 years and working in the CVICU at Emory for 34 years. Dr. Clements listens to your concerns, he values your input and he cares. I can honestly say that my husband is alive today at the age of 69 because of Dr. Steven Clements. My husband has a very significant family history of heart disease. His father had a 4 vessel CABG at Emory and then died suddenly 15 years later from a cardiac arrest. My husband's brother had a CABG x 4 vessels at age 34 in Athens and very unfortunately died at age 63 suddenly a month and half ago of a cardiac arrest as he was getting ready to go to work. Every time I have expressed concern regarding my husband's cardiac health Dr. Clements has listened very carefully. Consequently after each cardiac catheterization that was done twice over a few years apart both required cardiac STENTS placed. Then in 2023 when my husband was SOB with carrying our dog food bags up the stairs Dr. Clements again listened to us and after this cardiac catheterization he was found to have significant occlusion of his LAD and he had CABG x 3 vessel at Emory with Dr. David Vega (the world's best heart surgeon ever!)....again I know because of working with Dr. Vega and caring for his patients during my 34 years in the Emory CVICU. So to Dr. Clements....a huge "thank you" for all the times you have listened to my concerns about my husband's health and working with me to keep him healthy! I absolutely know that my husband is still alive because of God's hand over us and the incredible medical care that Dr. Clements has given him. Please know Dr. Clements how incredibly grateful we are for having you as our cardiologist. You are truly the very best medical care has to offer!
