Dr. Andy Smith is a diamond in the rough! He is a brilliant physician, personable and engaging, articulate and so very generous! With the experience I am sighting, Andy saved my business partner and best friend's life, as I'm sure he has done thousands of times with others in his career. My friend suffered a stroke and was released from Northside Hospital to Emory Rehab too early, with a feeding tube and major A-fib (which caused the stroke initially). She experienced gastro-intenstinal problems and had to be rushed across the street from Rehab to Emory Hospital where she was being treated only for the GI problems and not for the A-Fib (nor for affects from the stroke). Thank goodness I know Dr. Andy's wife, Dr. Lisa Hasty very well and had met Andy. I asked for their help with my friend's situation. Dr. Andy Smith immediately had two teams on her case, Neurology and Cardiology, which were not present beforehand. Within 24 hours he had a Cardio-version scheduled in the first attempt to cure her A-Fib. That transpired approximately Aug. 15, 2016. To date, my friend has no longer experienced A-Fib and is recuperating very well from her stroke (July 23rd), almost 6 months later. Thank you so much, Dr.Andy Smith!
