Paul Johnson, MD, earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2008. He completed internship and residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospitals, where he also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He subsequently completed fellowship in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at UNC Hospitals and North Carolina Heart and Vascular, in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Johnson was also named Chief Cardiology Fellow at while UNC. Dr. Johnson is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation (RPVI). Very helpful staff since, i'm in a wheelchair. Dr. Johnson spent time with me and listened to my information. He explained tests needed for clearance before knee replacement.

Dr Johnson put a stint in me on 2/3/25. I was active before it and plan to be active after. My first attempt at walking over a mile 2/6/25 up hills, etc. at pace felt better than ever. Didnt breathe hard, hardly broke a sweat. Dr Johnson, THANK YOU for a second lease on life. Forever grateful - you are the Man!
