Winter Haven Women's Hospital

From the moment we checked in for our scheduled C-Section we were being treated with such respect and care. Nurse Tam got us ready with all of the pre op stuff and Dr. Puig the Anesthesiologist was absolutely amazing! He came in and spoke with us before the operation and informed us of how everything would go and any possible deviations. Dr. Booker (my OBGYN) then came in and prepared us even more! He really took the time to answer any questions that we had and reassure us that everything would be okay. When the time to go back into the OR came, we walked in and Nurse Tam created such a special moment for us by taking our photo as we were walking through the doors. Everyone on the surgery team was amazing!! They all made us feel so comfortable and so relaxed. This experience was everything we could ask for and then some. When it came to my recovery every single nurse was kind and attentive. I am so grateful for the staff at WHWH for making this normally stressful experience as pleasant as it could be.

My experience at this hospital is neutral. My personal experiences towards me was that the nurse treated me with respect, polite and very caring. I had a c - section in 2021 that my OBGYN- performing very well. I had a high risk pregnancy because I was diabetic and over 35 years old. The issue I had was when the pediatrician had concerns with my son and didn't do with her first thought. She even brought another pediatrician the next day to do room to examine the baby and he just brushed it off. They even passed him the second day on his hearing text after having concerns the first day with the right ear. He was 10lbs. The hospital sis challenged us after our two day stay and within a week he was dropping a lot of weight. His primary doctor wasn't listening to my concerns and said that normal. Within a few weeks, I woke up to my son screaming and burning up. I rush him to winter hospitals, which is worst. They said give him Tylenol and sent us home. I took him to Lakeland regional where they diagnosed him and put him in NICU for ten days and saved his life. A nurse at LRH said " Mom thank you for advocating for your son because if you would have took him back home, he could have had a seizure and died. But now he is legal deaf everyone ignored their intuition at this hospital. This hospital needs employees who is not there for just a paycheck and really care about their patients. I wish we were still in the same city where I had my other children. I was high risk then and had a set of twins with no issues.

I had a great experience at this hospital. I had a repeat C-section, and then was readmitted a week later with preeclampsia. All of the nurses were so kind and supportive during both of my stays. I was having a lot of trouble latching my baby and Kaley (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was a big help. Gina took care of me after my c-section and also when I was readmitted with preeclampsia, she was very kind and compassionate. Nobody pushed me to do anything I didn't want to do. I gave them a list of birth preferences when I went in for the c-section, and although not everything went as planned due to unforeseen circumstances, they did their very best to honor my wishes. If I have more children in the future, I would want to deliver here again

I received excellent care from Nurse Jenna, and the PCT Peyton, and Kimmie. Also checking in at the front desk was a breeze. They all welcomed me, and gave me the best care. Even Dr. Patel came to evaluate me. I couldn't have asked for a better team. Thanks for all you do.

Women's ob-gyn facility that is still listed down the block at an old address. Doctors are thorough and have ultrasound and other imaging equipment on site.
