AdventHealth Winter Garden ER

I don't typically write reviews however, I wanted to show my gratitude for the visit I just had. I am only a couple days post op from surgery and was having an acute situation as a result. I'm grateful to the staff at AdventHealth WG ED for their great care and ability to reassure. More specifically thank you Dr. DeBourbon, Nurse Haley, and Nurse Derick. Dr. DeBourbon's bedside manner, professionalism, and medical knowledge are far superior to many doctors I've met both professionally and as a patient. She was thorough in her exam as well as her differential diagnosis. On top of performing her function as a provider exceptionally she was also reassuring on an empathetic level as well, which is beyond greatly appreciated. Finally to my nurses, Derick was very kind and gentle in his approach which was incredibly helpful during this time for me and Haley was my comedic relief while powering through this stress and pain filled time. Humor, whether it be dark or just plain ridiculous is how I prefer to cope and Haley did a fantastic job of meeting me where I was at with that and ensuring my comfort to the best of her ability. Thank you for taking care of me and giving me the best care possible.

I was visiting FL from out of state and this ER was a breath of fresh air. To be fair I did walk in at 9pm so it wasn't busy at all but it was laid out more like a large doctors office and not as intimidating and awful as ER's I've been to in NY state. The DR talked to me within 15 mins of me showing up, made eye contact and actually listened to me like I was a person, not just a number. The nurse was great too - she cut up a few pills so they'd be easier for me to take. The 2 registration employees I spoke to were super nice as well. Thank y'all for making my visit so pleasant!

I have now been to this ER three times. They have been fantastic. Today, they called me at hone 3 days after discharge to tell me they already phoned in a second antibiotic based on a new result from the culture they took 3 days ago. This ER has treated me with so much more genuine concern and compassion than Orlando Health (@H.W.). I am so sincerely grateful.

I went to the ER for excruciating abdominal pain. Dr Renee Cleveland was on staff that night on Nov 1st. An ultrasound and CT scan were done. She made a phone call to my OBGYN office that had not seen me in over a year. Then proceeded to discharge me with pain meds all the while I was internally bleeding. I went home and took the oxy she prescribed for 3 days until I spiked a fever and had to go back to the ER. This time I chose a different ER. I ended up in emergency surgery due to ovarian torsion and ruptured cysts, all which were present on the scans that Dr Cleveland saw on Saturday. I needed 4 units of blood as my hemoglobin dropped to 6. I was terrified. Dr Cleveland showed zero empathy and lacked communication skills that one would expect from an ER physician. She told me I could go home or stay the night and I told her I didn't feel comfortable making that decision which is why I'm relying on her expertise and her response was "I'm not in your body". It was cold and uncaring so naturally I chose to go home. Why would you employ someone so rude and unempathetic in an ER, a faith based one at that? Had I not gone back to the ER I might not be here to care for my kids. I'm now home recovering and in pain from an oopherectomy and internal bleeding but with a new anxiety and distrust for the expertise and professionalism that I had previously been accustomed to at Advent Health WG.

The staff was attentive and we were able to get help quickly. The nurse and physician were polite and informative! Made us feel confident that we were in good hands.
