I had a terrible experience with Dr Miller. I went to Enron for extremely high blood pressure ( has never happened) and I had to wait several weeks to even get an appointment despite the emergency. When I finally made it to the appointment with all of the information he needed. I waited for an hour in the lobby and then they told me I had to reschedule because someone had called me and I didn't hear them. The girls behind the desk were not helpful at all and quite rude.

My father needed open heart surgery. Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Miller were part of his care team. The next surgery spot they had open wasn't for another month and a half, and it was going to be about an hour drive own south. He needed the surgery sooner so we went with JFK hospital Atlantis. Unfortunately, my father had strokes. Devastating. After finally being released from the hospital after rehab and everything over a month later, we went back to his cardiologist, Dr. Miller for a follow up and to see what we had to do next. We called the hospital, signed release papers for his records to be sent and came for the appointment at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Miller was clearly bothered that my father didn't have the surgery there, with his care team. He was rude, condescending, and dismissive. Said "you didn't have the surgery here so I don't know what is going on!!" I said, we sent the records over for you to review. He mentioned not having the surgery there probably another 4 times before I finally said "right, we didn't have the surgery here because there wasn't anything available soon enough, let's move on from that and see what we need to do now." He really didn't like that and told me he didn't feel comfortable working with me. I said, "I don't care about that, I just need you to take care of my Dad." He asked who else we've seen and I said nobody, we were told to follow up with his cardiologist, you. He kept shuffling papers, saying since he wasn't in the operating room he doesn't know anything. I'm sorry but, YOU are the cardiologist, you knew about this surgery, you obviously didn't do the research and look over the records so you could help and continue with his care. We left extremely upset. Miller wouldn't give my dad scripts for his bloodwork for taking Warfarin. We had to start all over with another cardiologist, Dr. Borzak, who is WONDERFUL, caring, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. We will never go back to Cleveland clinic or Dr. Miller ever again. That is not how you take care of patients, especially during such a sensitive, painful time.

Unfortunately, my husband did not have a good experience with this dr yesterday, after driving 1 hr and 45 minutes to get to the office. My husband has been on statins for years to lower his cholesterol. For some reason, they are now making his joints achy, making it difficult for him to walk and go up and down stairs. He has tried to switch statins and they all do this to him. He is presently on nothing for his cholesterol, and heard there was an injectable medication that won't cause the side effects. Dr . Miller was nasty, condescending and rude to my husband. He treated him very poorly and actually asked him why he came to him- and told him to try another statin. He literally then dismissed my husband and said- you can leave now! We'd like to note that my husband thought the office staff was very nice. But if you're looking for a dr who takes his oath to care for people seriously, do not bother with Dr. Miller. We are so disappointed and distraught at his mistreatment and nastiness for someone looking for a treatment.

Today's visit, a first visit, was an unfortunate experience that wasted my time and provided zero benefit to my health. I can honestly say this was the worst doctor visit I have ever had. For one point, I said I've recently been experiencing heart palpitations when I go to bed. Dr Miller said "it's normal but just an annoying sensation." (?!?) I told him my smart watch is indicating unusual high spikes in my pulse (internet said could be tachycardia) and offered to show the daily charts to Dr Miller, but he said he's not interested. Then, I tried to share clinical data from Quest Diagnostic with Dr. Miller, a lipid panel I had on my phone screen, he glanced at my phone screen without looking at any of the data and said, "Don't worry about it." The lipid panel was not in my medical chart, was abnormal, and I was hoping he could provide some feedback about the risks associated with the results. After his don't worry about it comment, I replied that I've been working on lifestyle modifications and want to work with doctors who are taking my concerns seriously so I can avoid disease. I suggested he might be rushing today (just made an excuse for him out of politeness), and he interrupted me saying it's my fault because I was 8 minutes late today. So, I said I'm trying to share clinical data with you and you told me don't worry about it. Then he said, "I process data quickly but maybe you don't." Wow, nasty! (I guess Dr Miller failed to see the fallacy of his own statement: doesn't matter how quickly you process information if you fail to get the information in the first place). I replied I do process data quickly. He said he already looked at my chart (it did not have the data I was trying to show him) and that was good enough. I said as the patient I think it would be good if you could look at my blood results not in my chart and tell me why I should or should not be concerned. He cut me off saying he doesn't need a lecture and he knows what he's doing. He said he "can already tell this relationship isn't going to work out" and to find another cardiologist. I opine that Dr Miller's greatest skill is gaslighting, and that's probably what has kept him in practice (to the detriment of his patients). There were more unpleasant comments but this review is long enough already. In short, this is a doctor who is not going to listen to your health concerns, rushes through the exam, doesn't care to hear what his nurse told me to share with him, conflates his ego and prioritizes it above your health, and generally does as little as possible to collect his fee. Not a good clinician and probably better suited to work in a research lab (preferably not with animals) with a massive endowment (that would tolerate laziness). And here is something for you to seriously consider before trusting your health to Dr Miller: if he's this awful on a simple routine office visit, how much more horrible and inept would he be if you are facing a life-threatening emergency?

Horrible bedside manners. I would not recommend him to anyone. Don't understand why the hospital Management allows him to see patients and be part of the Cleveland organization which has a lot of excellent doctors.
