**Review of Dr. Penuela, cardiologist ** I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the care my husband received from Dr. Penuela. After an EKG revealed a severe stenosis at the aortic valve, which is a life-threatening condition, we expected prompt communication and actionable steps from his office. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While his office did call to relay the report, Dr. Penuela himself never took the time to personally reach out to my husband. This lack of direct communication during such a critical time was deeply concerning. My husband made multiple attempts to contact the doctor, hoping for a timely discussion about his condition and potential treatment options, but these calls were met with silence. To compound our frustration, we were informed that the earliest appointment available was a month after the report was read. Given the severity of the diagnosis, this felt not only unprofessional but also dangerously negligent. We expected a healthcare provider, especially one dealing with life-threatening issues, to prioritize patient care and communication. In summary, our experience with Dr. Penuela's office has been marked by a troubling lack of urgency and professionalism. We had hoped for compassionate and proactive care, but instead, we were left feeling anxious and neglected during a critical period. I cannot recommend Dr. Penuela based on our experience, and I urge others to seek a surgeon who prioritizes patient communication and timely care.
