About Dr. Arley A. Peter, MD

Dr. Arley Peter has been practicing cardiology in Indian River County since 2010. He personally participates in the medical care of his patients at the Treasure Coast Cardiovascular Institute office and at the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. Dr. Peter is involved with the Indian River County community by taking several leadership roles. He is the Medical Director for the VNA since 2011. He was appointed by doctors in this community as a President and board member of the Indian River Medical Society Executive Committee. He also participates as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University Medical School.

The staff here is great. Unfortunately, the doctor in the PA don't seem to agree on their information. I also don't feel that Dr. Peter really listens to me, or checks on my records. I saw the PA after wearing a halter monitor and she told me I had two separate diagnoses and should see an electrocardio physiologist. That doctor told me I had a different diagnosis. Then when I followed up with Dr. Peter, he told me a separate diagnosis that couldn't be fixed with what the electro cardio physiologist was Going to do. He really didn't listen to any of my concerns. I'm not sure why I even paid $95 to follow up with the Doctor Who didn't seem to have reviewed my records!

We were told we had a 7:30 am apt and we got there at 7:20. Doors locked and nobody around. Woman unlocked doors at 7:45 and went immediately into back room. We sat there for half hour with nobody at desk. Finally a woman came and checked us in. Dr himself was lovely and made us feel warm. Very thorough

Doctor Peter on my initial visit ran an EKG and immediately recognized my serious heart condition mainly based on his assessment of my physical condition and descriptive of recent events. He worked tirelessly to get me approved for a heart catheterization which led me to a triple bypass operation. His expertise avoided a widow maker attack and for this I am eternally grateful. Highly recommend him.
