Patient
My 81 year old mother started seeing this provider when she moved down here due to her extensive cardiac history. My mother is a retired nurse. I am a nurse as well. My mother has a home health nurse that comes out and visits her the home health nurse, and I both agreed she was going to congestive heart failure due to the extreme swelling in her legs, shortness of breath when moving and a gurgling sound. We tried to convince her to go to the emergency room and she refused stating she had an appointment with the doctor and would discuss it then. At this appointment, we explained to him the home health nurse felt the extreme swelling that she was having she more than likely was going into congestive heart failure. The dr does not know that myself, and my mother are also nurses. He proceeded to tell us this was above any nurses pay grade and was completely pompous and arrogant about us suggesting that diagnosis. Four days later, we finally convinced her to go to the emergency room due to her legs now seeping with fluid coming out of them. She was immediately admitted to the hospital, diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and thousands of cc of fluid removed from her. Just proceed with caution if you do decide to see this provider, he is very pompous, arrogant and narcissistic so if those are qualities you would like in a provider proceed. Hopefully this will save someone's life because my mother would have died if I would not have convinced her to go to the emergency room she spent seven days in the hospital and ended up having to have a cardioversion done as well. Take care and good luck.
