Dr Ioana Dumitru is a triple board-certified advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and the medical director of the TGH Heart & Vascular Institute's Mechanical Circulatory Support Program. She provides world-class care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, cardiac transplant patients, and patients supported by mechanical cardiac support. Before joining Tampa General, Dr Dumitru served as founder and medical director of the Adult Cardiac Transplant, Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy program at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Fla. She previously founded and served as the medical director of the Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
