Dr. Powell saved my mother's leg when no one else could. Another doctor told us there was nothing that could be done, but Dr. Powell gave us hope and performed the surgery that saved her leg. Six months later, my mom is doing wonderfully. Dr. Powell is not only an extraordinary surgeon but also kind, humble, and truly an angel on earth. I had to put Roget's back on the shelf after failing to find a superlative equal to the talent and skill of this marvelous surgeon. I've seen more than a few doctors over my four score and four years, but Doctor Powell heads the list. Here"s why: A few years back It was discovered I had a AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) and these things will flat out kill you if they burst. I went to Dr. Powell on the advice three other doctors. I was lucky she could take me as her patient book was full. Nonetheless, she kept watch on my aaa for several years until one day she said it's time. The procedure was made more difficult by my biological makeup and a prothesis had to be made in Australia. Not a cakewalk for Dr. Powell. Long story short, she nailed it. Other doctors who viewed the scan were so impressed with her work that one of them (a surgeon from Mass General) said: "As good as I've ever seen. Really. Damn good." So there you have it. I feel very comfortable with my appointments with Dr Powell. She is caring & deals directly with my issues.

As far as we know, the surgery went well but she never came to speak with the family. Not before nor after surgery. We were present in the waiting room and no show. I called her office and the staff refused to have her call me. All of this said to me we didn't matter. She may know surgery but we received very poor service.

Dr Powell is amazing. Very thorough with information and great "bedside manner"
