HCA Florida Capital Hospital

Open to updating review after birth- so far my experience has been mixed. The staff has been 90% amazing with minor inconsistencies. I however am appalled that everytime I'm sent over here from Diana Health I have to Check into the emergency room first. I have not been sick. I work from home and my main source of exposure is coming from the emergency waiting room. This alone was almost my reason to go back to TMH where they have an isolated check in area. I would also like to note that the triage bathroom has been disgusting every visit. There was poop splattered in the toilet the floor needs to be mopped and there urine collection table needs to have a towel down or be frequently wiped down. That said I personally saw the nurse wipe down my chairs and bed and I had fresh blankets set up in my area. Most women will take off their shoes while there for observation so I cannot stress enough that floors do matter. I've decided to commit to this hospital for delivery cause I have faith they will give me the best opportunity to follow my birth plan and over all the beside manners have been very pleasant as whole. Which me luck!

I am 75 and this was the very BEST hospital visit I ever had! Sarah, Trey, Mark, and a tall thin man (I think his name was Jerry?) were exceptionally professional, pleasant, friendly, well-groomed, and were deeply concerned with my welfare and obtaining clear results of the procedures that I underwent. They were mindful of my time as well as my comfort and worked in a cohesive manner to insure a successful diagnostic experience. The hospital personnel, from the front door through the tall friendly lady at admitting, were simply wonderful. The premises were very clean, especially the bathrooms, waiting rooms, and the food court. I want all of my future hospital visits to be a HCA Florida Capital Hospital.

My stay at HCA was better than could have been expected! The nurses, Shannon, Chastity and Kennedy could not have been more caring and competent. The same can be said for Techs Owen and Kayla. My therapists, Robin and Kiara were patient and knowledgeable and helped me to get over my fear and anxiety. And last, but certainly not least, Ureatha, my wound care nurse who appeared out of nowhere but continued to care for me even when she wasn't scheduled to do so, is a special blessing.

My experience was good except for the IV insertion which was the worst that I had ever experienced. She first asked if I were a hard stick, which is a bad sign. Her first try was in my left hand. Her stick was too close to a juncture rather further away and at a straight line of the vein. It was very painful. It felt like she was scraping bone. The 2nd stick was at my right antecubital. The pain was not just at the initial stick, but continued and was the worst that I had ever experienced. Someone needs to observe her to see what she is doing wrong. She probably is putting the metal all the way into the vein. Please help her and stop her from torturing your patients.

Everyone at HCA is very friendly and helpful! I had surgery on July 22, 2025 and had to stay one night. The room I stayed in was a big private room with big bathroom. Everything was so clean. Anytime I needed anything my nurse would come right away no matter what time. They were attentive to all my needs! Very friendly and professional! I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this hospital to anyone.
