Patient Reviews

My previous negative review was removed and I'm not quite sure how. Everything was factual. There were no derogatory remarks and it was initially approved by Google. Something just doesn't seem right. My appointment was canceled due to a family emergency. I completely understand this. But I was told it would be four months to reschedule with him or I could see the PA. I don't want to see the PA. I want to see the doctor because I specifically sought him out for his expertise and lipids. I shouldn't have to wait a total of five+ months to get results from tests that were run. When I spoke to the office manager, I was not offered to be put on a waitlist or cancellation list. There was no other option than to wait four months to see the cardiologist even though I was not the one that canceled my appointment. I believe this practice has too many patients and lacks basic empathy. I ended up having to seek out another cardiologist. They are accepting new patients and can see me within 10 days - Not four months on a rescheduled appointment. Just think twice before contacting this practice because this may happen to you when you least needed it to happen. Especially with a cardiologist.

I think I just went from one of the most satisfied patients to one of the most dissatisfied patients. I had a follow up appt. with Dr. Sanchez scheduled this week. He had to cancel due to a family emergency - which I COMPLETELY understand. However, I was told that I now had to wait until December to see him - four months! Wow!!! This is unacceptable! OR I could wait three weeks and see the PA. No offense to the PA - I've never even met her - but I feel like I'm being completely dismissed, funneled and forced to see the PA instead of the physician. I specifically sought out Dr. Sanchez because of his expertise in lipids. Nowhere on the website does it mention the PA's experience in this field. Furthermore, I simply desire a doctor-patient relationship, not a PA-patient relationship. It shouldn't take four months to get a RESCHEDULED appointment that I DIDN'T CANCEL! I had tests run on 7/14 and 7/29. To wait until Sept. 3 to discuss results, and not with the specialist that I sought out, even seems to be a bit long. I feel like my results are being held "hostage" so to speak. There is no information on the patient portal. I'm not even sure the results have been reviewed yet. I thought I was on the right path. This is clearly not the practice for me. Perhaps I should feel blessed that this happened early on. I was trying to avoid driving over the bridge, but I have now reached out to my husband's cardiologist in Tampa to have my records reviewed and hopefully transferred to that practice where I will only see the doctor. It's that important to me. I am sorry if I have offended the PA in this practice. Do not take it personally. It's not you. It's me. When I seek out a specific physician because of a specialization, I simply want to see the physician. I am beyond disappointed. I probably won't be returning. I wish this situations was handled differently because I feel I am in a bit of a conundrum and now have a dilemma to deal with - one that I did not create. Grrrr!
