Dr. Moretta received his training in New York at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island. He performs surgical and interventional procedures to treat all cardiac arrhythmias with specializations in ablation for atrial fibrillation (Afib/AF) and conduction system pacemaker implantation. He is the primary investigator for the REAL-AF registry at Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Main Campus, a national registry of some of the highest volume Afib ablationists in the US who have shown a greater than 80% success rate with first time ablation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. He is also a proctor for EP's across the country for implantation of conduction system and leadless pacemakers.

Several years ago (Jan 2020), Dr Moretta did a cardiac ablation on me. He is a wonderful cardiologist. Has great communication skills, very professional and takes time with his patients to assure them. If I ever need a procedure in his field of expertise, he will be the one called upon.
The office canceled my appointment twice after I had booked it 6 months in advance. It took another 2 months for a new appointment where I would miss some work. Google maps cannot find their location. According to staff many clients have this problem. After a 45 minute drive, and a $40.00 co-pay, Dr. Moretta spent under 5 minutes with me! He asked me several quick questions, clicked his computer, glanced at me once, and took off out the door. I'm not sure he even new my name!
Dr Moretta did my pulse field ablation in January 2025, and it went flawless. I'm symptom free and happy to have my life back. Dr Moretta and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the doc spent a lot of time with me and answered everyone of my 25 questions, and he even drew diagrams of everything to give me a visual picture and make me feel comfortable. Dr Moretta is a top notch electrophysiologist and I consider myself very lucky to have him as my doctor.
Very confident and did a great job on my wife. Very disappointed in bedside manner. I asked to see him after the procedure but all I got was a phone call. That doesn't cut it for loved ones. Dr Moretta was great with my husband. We went to the office for a pre-surgical visit. During the visit my husband had some chest pain and Dr Moretta had him taken immediately across the street to the hospital. He did surgery the next day and my husband was fine.
