Four different visits over last 1.5 months. Each time I was seen according to my needs. Staff checked on me and kept me up to date on my progress and treatment. Everything was clearly explained to include how the anticipate issue or treatment would benefit me. Pleasant, respectful care. AND a call back next day to see if I needed anything. I was impressed with the care and concern that is missing in so many hospitals. Glad I found it at Cleveland Clinic Tradition ER. Making all my care providers are affiliated with Cleveland clinic or I find a new provider.

I recently had one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences at Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida. I went in because I have low hemoglobin and required a blood transfusion, as well as drainage through my PleurX catheter, which normally needs to be done every two days. Unfortunately, the care I received--especially from Dr. Sandoval--was unacceptable.
First, Dr. Sandoval and the nurse who attended me did not seem trained or prepared to manage my PleurX drainage. They were unable to perform a procedure that is essential for my treatment and that I normally receive without issues.
Second, during my blood transfusion, they left a connection open, and half a bag of blood spilled all over me, soaking my clothes down to my underwear. I have photos documenting this. Accidents happen, but this was due to clear negligence.
On top of that, Dr. Sandoval asked me inappropriate political questions about my country, which made me very uncomfortable and had nothing to do with my medical care. After that, her attitude toward me changed noticeably.
Later, the specialist doctor told me around 2:00 PM that I was cleared to go home and only needed Dr. Sandoval's signature to be discharged. I called for her immediately, but she did not come until almost 6:00 PM, and when she arrived, she spoke to me with a poor attitude. She said she still needed to order tests and that she "might" sign my discharge around 7 PM, even though she had all afternoon to do so. I had already been in the hospital 2 days just for a transfusion, which is excessive.
I tried to reach Patient Relations or Human Resources to file a complaint, but they kept transferring me to billing by mistake, and no one took responsibility. I left a message for the supervisor, but no one has called me back.
Overall, this has been my second bad experience at this hospital. The lack of professionalism, the long delays, the poor communication, and the unsafe care I received make me feel that my health was not taken seriously. I hope this review encourages the hospital to improve the quality of care and respect for their patients.

(25/5 stars if I could!)
The NICU at Tradition Hospital is absolutely exceptional. They saved both of my babies within three years, and I am forever grateful for the incredible care we received. In 2022 and 2025. The nurses in the NICU are truly angels on earth -- Miss Irene, Miss Heather, and Angel are some of the sweetest, most compassionate, and dedicated professionals you will ever meet. Their passion for caring for these tiny, fragile babies shines through in everything they do.
The facility itself is outstanding. Each baby has a private room, allowing parents the opportunity to pump, breastfeed, and spend precious bonding time in a quiet, comfortable environment. One parent is even able to stay overnight, which makes a world of difference during such a challenging time.
If you are ever in need of NICU care for a premature baby, I cannot recommend Tradition Hospital highly enough. Their team and their commitment to families are truly beyond compare.

On August 27, 2025 a referral was sent for hemotology sent by Dr. Castro.
Well, apparently your hemotology department does not call YOUR patients. I waited for weeks for a response. So, I called the Chief Financial Officer [CFO] and spoke with Ms. Dana and she took my complaint not once but on two separate occasions and no results.
I do not know what Ms. Dana did with my concerns and if she sent them to the correct personal I still have no answers.
In November, I called YOUR Hemotology Department and was told they have no clue on the cost but I need to see an APRN. I'm not spending a $35.00 copay to be told I don't know the price. Hemotology suggested I call my insurance company to find out what is covered. Guess what! Humana cannot tell me anything because there are no CPT codes. Therefore, I cancelled my appointment for November 14th.
Since, Cleveland Clinic took over Martin Health Systems your customer service is deplorable. As much as I dislike HCA Lawnwood or HCA PSL, I am currently seeking other hospitals/doctors to take over my care.
So, here are some questions I would like answered:
Why didn't your Hemotology Department call me when they received the first referral?
Why can't the Hemotology Department tell me the costs?
When you call the Patient Advocacy Office, leave your name and number and no one calls you back?
Why do I have to wait on hold for 39 minutes to speak with a supervisor and you can't get one on the telephone?
My time is just as precious as yours and your patients are treated like subhuman beings.
Today, I had the opportunity to speak with Rachel in scheduled and she was able to find the referral but it was closed. Rachel is obtaining another order from Dr. Castro so she can follow up on this referral this has taken over 4 months.
Overall, this has been my second experience at this hospital. The lack of professionalism, the long delays, the poor communication, and the unsafe care I received makes me feel that my health is not taken

Horrible ER! I brought my 7 year old in per urgent cares request. The triage nurse was rude and aggressive which made my child cry. Sat in the room (on a slow night) for 4 hours to never see the doctor. They ran a test on her with no explanation as to what it was, until 4 hours later when then nurse brought the discharge papers in and told us they'd bring medication. I had to ask "well, what does she have?" It is the worst hospital I've ever been to.
