I recently contacted your front desk staff for an urgent issue with my prescription . I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, only to be met with someone who was dismissive of my concerns and very rude she repeatedly interrupted me and were unable to provide any assistance or a solution. This experience was not only unhelpful but also very frustrating, and I feel completely disregarded as a patient.

Ivan was polite and attentive, and he made an effort to understand the situation. It really shows how important it is to be a professional and listen carefully to the patient. I can say that it was a very positive experience.

I've been through many doctors and healthcare professionals in my 63 years, as a retired firefighter paramedic I consider Ivan to be superior to any other healthcare provider I've had. Ivan takes the time to listen thoroughly and make his determinations based on your health and lifestyle. He is very personable and has a light sense of humor. I would highly recommend this practice.

We love Dr. Ivan Dankanich! He is very informative and very nice to all his patients. He knows what he is talking about. The staff is not so nice. When I went in for my daughters appointment and was demanded to make a copay, I just questioned it because I just had enrolled into a new insurance plan. When I last looked at my insurance benefits the first three visits were $0 CO/PAY. My daughter had only been in the office twice to see the doctor. When I went the first time with my daughter they demanded a copay. I told her as far as my insurance goes, there should be no copay for the very first visit for my daughter who was a new patient. The receptionist then looked again and saw that she was wrong and apologized, So going in the second time and being demanded to pay a copay did not help the situation because of the last experience. The first receptionist said that the separate visit to Lab for my daughters blood work was included as an office visit . At least that is what they told me. Then the receptionist demanded a copay with a not so nice tone. It was as though she was angry just because I told her that my insurance allowed three visits to the office with $0 copay. So I wrote a check. I then decided later during the visit to pay cash and card for the copay so I could save myself a trip to the bank. I didn't have a lot of time because I was scheduled for a meeting shortly after my daughters appt. As the other receptionist with glasses swiped my card she said my card was declined. I was confused but also upset because I had transferred the funds over before I gave her my card. The rest I paid in cash. Little did I know, I forgot to hand her over the remaining dollar in my pocket. So I guess this receptionist charged the difference on the card without my knowledge. I told her to charge only a certain amount on my card. It seems like she charged for more than I told her. So I told her maybe she could have possibly put in the wrong numbers or missed something. She became very angry and raised her voice over me. I reported this and I hope this was handled appropriately. To my surprise I got a call after the visit from the Manager, like I had made the mistake and was wrong when really the issue was that the receptionist both of them were not professional or kind and used aggressive and a loud tone of voice with me. I almost cried to Ivan Dankanich as I was telling him about what happened. It did not help that I was already under distress and my daughter was stressed because of a possible risky pregnancy. It is as if I didn't have a say or right to give a small suggestion or even question them. Please think twice before going to this office. No one deserves that sort of treatment. We have been going to this office for a year now, We have always gone to him and left happy. Both my husband and I of 27 years of marriage have been seeing him for a year now. But this time around it was a total different and disappointing experience. The fact that this was my experience as well as my daughters experience , was a great shock and very hurtful. Please think twice before going to this office off of 1912 Kings Highway, Port Charlotte.
