Patient
I wrote the review below recently before having met Dr. Criss. I went w/ mom to meet Dr. Criss and want to update my review. I have never written these words in a review before but will now. If I could give 100 stars, I would. If I could smash the "Golden Buzzer" to reference one of mom's favorite shows "America's Got Talent," I would. Dr. Criss knew we needed her. Usually mom gets to see an APRN not Doc. But Dr. Criss wanted to see mom knowing we needed her, and mom felt exponentially better after receiving the attention and care that she needed by an actual Dr (not another APRN). We love APRNs, but like most people, sometimes you need an MD or DO. Dr. Criss was AMAZABLE. She role models healthy living. She is thorough. She is generous relative to respect for others and giving her time. Cathy Criss seems to have an excellent balance of confidence with humility meaning when we asked some questions, she was sure to tell us to ask those questions to pulmonary or cardiologist which made perfect sense (unlike some Drs who behave as "know-it-alls"). ***My advice to anyone reading is this. Dr. Criss is worth the wait. When you go to check in, ask how her schedule is, and if they say "about 45 minutes behind schedule," try to attach to thoughts of gratitude that you are about to consult w/ a Dr who is generous with giving her time to each patient, then hang out in your air conditioned car or go get some food and come back. Criss is worth the wait. First Review: My Mom consults w/ Dr. Criss and Advanced Practice Nurse Stephanie Wells regularly, and has for years. Every time I assist Mom w/ medical, the entire staff here, from the front desk to the medical assistants to the Dr and RN, they all provide remarkable service relative to professionalism, competency and kindness. Whoever is managing the hiring at this office is doing a very good job. I am very grateful that my Mom has their support as I am impressed by their knowledge of medicine as well as their attention to encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and habits.
