Ponte Vedra Concierge Medicine - Richard Townsend, M.D.

I just moved to the area from South Florida and was looking for a new Concierge Physician after being patient in a practice for over 10 years. I was lucky enough to find to find Dr. Townsend (Ponte Vedra Concierge Medicine) and set up a time to meet with him. His staff has been great, and Dr. Townsend has picked up where my prior doctor left off as he thoroughly reviewed my past medical and family history on the first appointment. I have been part of his practice now for over six months and cannot express how caring and effective he and his staff have been for myself and my family.

My husband and I moved to the area from Chicago a year and a half ago and I quickly realized that it was going to be difficult to find a family practice doctor. The waits to get in were long so I set out to find a concierge doctor. Dr. Townsend was exactly what we were looking for....I feel a little like I've gone back in time with the level of attentiveness. It's wonderful not to feel rushed and to be able to get an appointment and have my doctor actually get to know me. His office manager, Michelle, is professional and caring and gets back to my calls so quickly. So thankful!

Dr. Townsend and Michelle have changed how my family considers going to the doctor. The time and thoughtful care we have received is in stark contrast to our previous experience. I highly recommend anyone who is busy and looking for an easy doctor/patient experience to consider joining the PV Concierge practice.

My wife and couldn't be happier that we are patients of Dr. Townsend. We have been with his concierge practice for several months and are extremely appreciative of level the of care and the extensive amount of time that Dr. Townsend spends with each of us regarding our health and medical issues. Michelle is an expert at answering all of our office questions and has been fantastic is helping to track down all of our medical files and test results from previous doctors.

After visiting my primary doctor's office to get checked for the flu, I was surprised and frustrated when I was told to come back in two weeks. Instead, they suggested I go to a local walk-in clinic a couple blocks away. That experience was eye-opening. A friend referred me to Dr. Townsend. During my first visit, we did a full physical and, more importantly, actually sat down and talked. He took the time to listen attentively and genuinely cared about getting to know me. It's clear he values building a real doctor/patient relationship. Michelle is also awesome! She is very warm and personable, which makes the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a more personalized, medical experience, I highly recommend Ponte Vedra Concierge Medicine. It's a refreshing change and a great step toward a true medical partnership.
