Jonathan Nieves, MD

My first impression, Dr. Nieves is very caring physician. My dad returned to the hospital a day after having a procedure with Dr. Nieves. He stayed in the hospital for a week waiting for authorization for a second surgery. I called his office everyday leaving messages trying to get answers on what was going on. Why was a second surgery needed? Nothing... I pleaded with hospital nurses to have him call to explain what was going on. Still nothing.... After a week, we finally received the auth for a second procedure. My dad's been home for a week, but still no answers. He's feeling worse than he did before going to the hospital. We are not sure what was done in the second procedure or why he's still feeling the way he does, because we still can't get him or anyone in his office to return our calls or even schedule a follow up office appt. The quality of care from his office has been extremely frustrating.

It's incredibly frustrating that I've had to call five times today--starting as early as noon--and each time, the answering service asked a series of questions and assured me someone would return my call within 30 minutes. They also advised me to call back if I didn't hear anything. It's now 10pm, and I still haven't received a single response from the on-call healthcare provider. I'm deeply saddened by this, especially for my mother, who was just discharged from the hospital earlier this week and is still waiting for answers. She deserves better care and communication during such a vulnerable time.

It was big luck to find Dr. Jonathan Nieves, who completed the ablation for my wife! She had SVT tachycardia for many years and always afraid of intervention in the heart, but Dr. Nieves corrected it in just 2 hours! He is real professional and caring doctor, we had a super pleasant experience with him! Everything was at a high level, smooth and easy. My wife woke up after anaesthesia in excellent mood and condition, so we thank a 1000 times him and all his team for the great job!!!

Dr. Nieves is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable. He is also very knowledgeable while being very easy to talk to. It was the most pleasurable doctor's visit I have had in a long time. Would recommend him 10 out of 10 times!

He is a great Electrophysiologist! very professional, and kind. Had Cardioversion done in March, it worked when it was done, heart pulse went down to 60 but gradually went back up, fluctuating over 100, close to 150 most of the time. So next option was Ablation, just had it done on 4/24, and it worked, so far so good! crossing my fingers that it will remain normal for a long time but was told success rate is 85%, so there's always a chance that palpitations might come back. If you need any procedures done, do not fear, he is able and will take good care of you! :)
