My mom had 5 heart attacks and still walking around with this huge life vest that's weighing her down. It's heavy, loud, and malfunctions all the time. Meanwhile there's a smaller option that was never offered to her or the family. My mom have said she stopped calling the office because she could never speak with the nurse or the doctor (untouchable). Now mind you I'm out of state trying to help my mom from a far and also when I come in town. But now I'm seeing what she's talking about with the lack of communication and/or support for the patient and families. That number that is posted on all of these comments is a call center answering service. All they do is answer, find out what you need, send a REQUEST to the nurse (that never responds back), then sends a message/email to the managers. Let's not forget I'm trying to transfer my job to help my mom but I can't even get a call back. If it was his family heart situation I'm sure this wouldn't be as difficult. This is SAD!

This clinic and doctor showed little regard for exploring my reoccurring chest pain with exertion. I was ordered a test that was stopped due to the manifestation of the pain and given an injection to validate it. This test was reported by the doctor who read the results as negative which was an error. When brought to his attention he then corrected it in the record. A further evaluation by ct was finally ordered and the results were negative. No follow up or medication was ordered. Numerous phone calls were made to finally get results of tests. Dr Balfour never responded. The incompetence and lack of concern was incomprehensible. I can only hope that this will never happen again to anyone seeking care from this provider. After second opinion by another cardiologist the pain was pulmonary and a result of previous Covid pneumonia (non vented). This process took weeks instead of the few days it should have Very disappointed overall.

Dr. Balfour is okay for standard care. If you are a medical zebra, I would steer clear. They will suggest standard care and if that doesn't pan out they don't have other options. They also dismiss family medical history and feedback from patients when things they suggest don't have the intended outcome.

Dr. Balfour was short, very dismissive of the symptoms and concerns I presented him, and extremely condescending. Based on his superficial approach and demeanor, I would not recommend him to anyone who has cardiac concerns.

My worst experience. Cancelled appointments by this cardiologist, dismissal of my questions and concerns, over my issues with aortic stenosis and needed tests. Lack of communication over scheduling. I felt like he's become complacent in his position. That isn't the job to be so deceitful over. UPDATE: SINCE MY TRUTHFUL REVIEW. THIS CARDIOLOGIST, HAS RETALIATED AND FALSELY ACCUSED ME OF BEING DISORDERLY AND DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR. THIS IS SERIOUS FOR BAPTIST HOSPITAL. ACCEPTING A DOCTOR'S FALSE CLAIMS AND JEOPARDIZING SOMEONE'S HEALTH AND POSSIBLY MY LIFE. AS I'M IN SEVERE STENOSIS AND NEEDING AN OPEN HEART SURGERY VERY SOON. HE HAS READ THIS REVIEW, AND NOW HAS TERMINATED MY CARE. HE WROTE, THAT I HAVE BEEN RUDE AND DISRUPTIVE, WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED. WHY WOULD A DOCTOR TERMINATE CARE IN MAY 16, 2024 AND THE LAST TIME I SEEN HIM WAS NOVEMBER 18, 2023? THIS SHOULD BE FOOLPROOF EVIDENCE, SHOWING THAT THIS DOCTOR WILL FALSIFY INFORMATION OVER SOMEONE'S TRUTHFUL REVIEW ON GOOGLE. I WILL POST PHOTOS OF THE DOCUMENTATION WITH THE LAST APPOINTMENT DATE. THE DATE OF HIS TERMINATION LETTER WITH ME. I ALSO HAVE VOICE, VIDEO RECORDING OF MY LAST VISIT. VOICE DOCUMENTS ARE PROOF AS WELL. SINCE HE'S TERMINATED ME, BEING ON THE BOARD OF CARDIOLOGY THERE AT BAPTIST. THEY DECIDED TO GO TO MY ELECTROPHYSIOLOGIST DR HERNANDEZ AND ASK HER IF SHE WOULD LIKE TO TERMINATE ME AS WELL? SINCE THEY ARE IN THE SAME OFFICE, SHE HAS CHOSEN TO FOLLOW HIS LEAD OVER NO ILL WILL BETWEEN ME AND HER. IT WILL PROVE THAT IT'S SIMPLY A RETALIATION AND FALSIFYING INFORMATION. RISKING SOMEONE'S HEALTH AND LIFE. THIS IS OVER A TRUTHFUL REVIEW! THAT'S SERIOUS GUYS! IF BAPTIST HOSPITAL AND THE EXECUTIVE BOARD STANDS BEHIND THIS KIND OF ACTION, I COULDN'T IMAGINE WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN DONE. TAKE THAT INTO MIND WHEN YOU'RE WANTING TO GET THE BEST TREATMENT AND TO BE TREATED FAIRLY. IF THIS CAN HAPPEN OVER SOMETHING SIMPLE AS THIS AND PUTTING MY LIFE AT RISK, KNOWING I'M IN SEVERE STENOSIS AND NEEDING A HEART SURGERY SOON, THERE'S NO TELLING WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN DONE. IF YOU DON'T THINK MY SURGERY IS SERIOUS PLEASE GO ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE (HEART WARRIORS) OR (OPEN HEART SURGERY) AND ASK ANYONE. IF YOU ARE IN SEVERE STENOSIS AND IT DOESN'T GET TREATED. WHAT WILL HAPPEN? THEN PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES. I DESERVE TO BE TREATED WITHOUT PREJUDICE. I HAVE FOUGHT SO HARD TO RAISE MY TWO KIDS AS A SINGLE PARENT. WITH NO HELP FROM THE OTHER PARENT. TRYING TO KEEP HEALTHY AND BE HERE FOR MY BOYS. NOW, OVER ONE DOCTOR'S PERSONAL FEELINGS AND CREDIBILITY, MY LIFE IS AT RISK. THESE ARE THE LAST APPOINTMENTS WITH DR BALFOUR. I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM ONCE THIS YEAR. HAVING MILD TO SEVERE AND NOW SEVERE STENOSIS, POSSIBLY NEEDING SURGERY SOON. I WAS TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE TO TAKE MY SYMPTOMS SERIOUS AND I WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH. TO POSSIBLY HAVE SOME HOPE THRU IT ALL. INSTEAD, I GET A CARDIOLOGIST THAT WILL FABRICATE A FALSE CLAIM, JUST TO SAVE HIS OWN REPUTATION AND PREVENTING ME FROM TERMINATING "HIM" AND FINDING ANOTHER CARDIOLOGIST. I'VE NOW BEEN TERMINATED BY BOTH. THIS HAS MADE IT, WHERE I CANNOT USE " ANYONE" IN THAT FACILITY TO HELP ME. I HAVE TO START COMPLETELY OVER AND FIND ANOTHER FACILITY, CARDIOLOGIST, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGIST, THEN RESCHEDULE THE TEST I NEED AND WAIT LONGER TO HAVE A POSSIBLE 3RD HEART SURGERY BEFORE IT GETS FATAL. I HONESTLY HOPE THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE LEFT IN THIS WORLD, THAT WILL SHOW COMPASSION AND NOT LET HIM GET AWAY WITH THIS. YOU MAY BE IN GOOD STANDINGS WITH HIM, BUT ONCE YOU HAVE ANY ISSUE OR WANT TO GET A SECOND OPINION ABOUT HIS DECISION. YOU WILL POSSIBLY END UP IN MY POSITION. THE NURSE EVEN SAID, IF I DID TERMINATE HIM FIRST. THAT MOST LIKELY, NO OTHER CARDIOLOGIST WILL ACCEPT ME ( AT BAPTIST CARDIOLOGY). BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T WANT TO CAUSE ISSUES WITH A CO-WORKER IN THE SAME FACILITY. PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN YOU ARE TRUSTING YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS. PURE DECEITFUL. I did call the number when they replied to my post but it did no good. They just made excuses even though they admitted it was wrong.
