Asim S. Ahmed, MD, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL. He provides preventive cardiology care to manage high blood pressure and cholesterol, heart attack and stroke risk factors, AFib heart rhythm disorders, and congestive heart failure. He has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation and flutter and ventricular tachycardia. When not caring for patients, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs.

I'm so glad I found Dr Ahmed. He's staff has been wonderful to me. I suffered a stroke 4 months ago and ended up changing Cardiologist when the staff showed no concern for my well being or rescheduling my Ablation. When I found out that I had a problem with my heart arrhythmia, I was scared. A visit to the emergency room revealed a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. I was assigned Dr Asim S. Ahmed, DO as the cardiologist on my case. In detail, he described exactly what my condition was, and proposed what could be done to treat me. His knowledge, confidence, and his treatment plan made me feel less scared and more at ease. He made me feel that he cared. (Sometimes you can get a Dr who will treat you, but you're just another patient who he could care less about.) Dr Ahmed showed that he cared.
