Patient Reviews

Had a similar experience as of one of the other patience in the reviews. I made the appt . To see dr. Palmer and instead I got his nurse practitioner Veridiana Pinheiro. I was seen by his triage nurses which were amazing. Than the fun began , the nurse practitioner was very rude right away instead of seeing my files that were from ER visit I had on September 1st she says are you here for the colonoscopy???? Who the hell said I was there for a colonoscopy let alone and endoscopy?? She was pushing me to get these procedures done. I told her was not there for that I was there for my Gallbladder. He was recommended by my primary care doctor at family medical which I notified of the horrible experience I had and all my doctor could do is shake his head. Would not recommend this Doctor to anyone. I asked questioned that were not answered by his nurse instead she said she would contact doctor by email and see what his response would be. Total waist of my time let alone God only knows what they are going to charge me for a visit with no resolution. I called very next day and spoke to Marie and she said her office manager would call me and never happened. Do better treat your patience with respect as you would like done to you.

I've been waiting years to see a doctor as kind and empathetic as Dr. Palmer. He is a great listener and happy to explain his plan and his conceptualization in understandable terms. His office manager, Jorge, is also very kind and thorough in getting procedures scheduled and explained.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Palmer's office based on a glowing recommendation I received. When I called, I was in significant discomfort and chose the first available slot, which was with the APRN. That decision turned out to be a serious mistake--one I won't repeat. From start to finish, the entire visit took less than an hour. I was registered, triaged, briefly seen, and sent out the door with a scheduled procedure and barely a conversation in between. The APRN was dismissive, barely let me speak, and showed little interest in understanding the history of my condition. Instead, I was told--almost as a throwaway--that I should get a colonoscopy due to my age. That was the entire substance of the visit. For this, I was charged over $200. I walked out feeling ignored, rushed, and frankly, taken advantage of. That's unacceptable. I'm sharing this not just out of frustration, but because I hope this office takes patient care and communication seriously. I expected more, and I believe your patients deserve more.

Good afternoon, i truly wish Dr. Palmer reads these reviews. i can not say nothing but great things about my experiences with Dr. Palmer but unfortunately the unprofessionalism i recently experienced by his front desk staff has motivated me to write this review.i have been with this office for over 5 years and the noticed a change, came in due to abdominal pain, schedule a due colonoscopy and was seen by his assistant which she placed me on Augmentin and stool softners inmmediately, been a firefighter i was forced to use a sick day the following day due to the effect of the stool softners so decided to call the office to get a sick note at which point became a huge problem for the gentleman/office manager to make one or allow me to speak to Drs. assistant, he was very unprofessional and condescending until after so much back and forth i advised him that i would formally and personally complain to Dr. Palmer and until that point he was able to agree to write a sick note, fast forward a week later, i receive a letter that Dr. Palmer will no longer be taking care of my gastro needs and without noticed cancelled by colonoscopy. i am not sure who decides these decisions but playing with peoples health should not be allowed, i have never seen such a behavior from a medical staff or allowed. i will follow up with this until i get cleared answers. and 1 star was the lowest allowed otherwise it would have 0.

Five stars is not enough, I give this doctor, his location and his staff 1 million stars or infinite stars,I must say that Dr. Dean Palmer is an awesome, patient to his patients, extraordinarily attentive Doctor, I commend him for how he sits with patience to explain the diagnosis of what was going on with me. Dr. Palmer is the only doctor after being seen by several doctors at Memorial West Hospital, is the only doctor that confirmed I have what he believes to be a hernia. His staff is amazing, understanding and very knowledgeable and I love that. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Dean Palmer's office on 18503 Pines Blvd. If you're looking for a G.I. doctor that's gonna sit with you and explain everything to you and show you pictures and talk to you about results then Dr. Palmer is the one. Thank you so much for the job that you do as a doctor.
