Ascension Bay

I came to Bay Medical today with my 88 year old Mother in law and my 81 year old friend for labwork. My friend passed out in the lobby and Shaylah (check in desk in lobby) jumped into action. RRT took her to ER. A hospital administrator (I didn't get her name) came and took care of my MIL until my husband could get here. I am very happy with the care and concern the staff has shown today

ER folks were great aside from everyone has been instructed to view incoming patients expressing pain as addicts. My husband was having a stroke and the worst headache of his life. He was given benadryl and Tylenol, nothing for blood pressure. We were then placed in an ER cell where we stayed 6 hrs. I asked for blood pressure meds to pls be given to at least ease his headache some and get this, i was informed "blood pressure isnt addressed in the ER unless the top number is 200 or above". I was in shock! A CT was done just before we were moved to the 2nd floor where still no info on said CT was ever given. Here we stayed for another 24hrs. Blood was drawn several times while on 2nd floor another CT, and xrays as well. We have still yet to hear the results of any findings on any test conducted. We are now and currently on the 5th floor and have been for 3 days in which my husband has had 3 additional MRIs and I believe 4 CT scans. Blood has also been drawn 3 times a day. I've asked many times for someone to pls come tell us something and im told each time only the doctors can. This entire time I've seen 2 GPs once each and 1 neurologist today who walked in said "we need to control my husband's blood pressure but he's fine to go home". What?? That was this afternoon btw. My husband still has the horrible headache, is in the stroke unit but its never been confirmed he's had a stroke, and we have zero clue about ANY results from any test conducted over the past 5 days!

Most incompetent place I've ever been seen at! You guys have become a huge joke to the staff at other hospitals all pc hospitals for that matter! Quit your job if you aren't happy! A hospital is no place to be judgmental or disrespectful! It's a profession you choose bc you WANT to help people! i am praying your hospital gets completely overturned in Jesus name AMEN

I was hospitalized there due to a MVA. The nurse that attended me was extremely rude. She wouldn't give me a pain medication other than morphine. When I declined morphine due to fear of reaction she said go home and take advil. I asked for some water it took them forever to bring. I wanted to go use the bathroom she wouldn't let me unless I signed a release. She then goes to my girlfriend laying in next door and tells her I'm a terrible person. With all due respect she has no right to say all that.

Not happy. My Dad was transferred here from another hospital due to increased troponin levels. We have been here for quite a while. No Dr , no nurse, no one has come in here to let us know what is going on, what their plan is, nothing. No one will talk to us. We are frustrated. We are from out of town. We are exhausted.
