Craig Burns, DO

The staff is very friendly and efficient. I just started coming to AdventHealth, but I feel like I've been coming for a lot longer. Dr Burns makes sure all your questions are answered. He is very knowledgeable and spends time explaining any health concerns you have.

This review is for the referral group. I have no idea how long the employees in this department have been doing their job, but they are very not very good or efficient at it. I had to reschedule an appointment with my cardiologist five, 5, times because they could not find his medical identification number. One person couldn't find my cardiologist in the FL BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD physician list. It took me all of a minute to find him. So, this person used the specialists ID number that has done my ablations and implanted my pacemaker, who has discharged me unless I have a problem. He and my cardiologist are in the same medical group and office location, so she thought this would be okay. It would have been okay if I was seeing the specialist, but this appointment is my cardiologist that I see every six months or so. After days, phone calls, and way too much frustration for this 75 yr old woman to deal with, I finally have an appointment scheduled. One of my questions is...why did I have to be the one trying to get to the correct people to get this referral done? Isn't this the referral department's job? This should be handled by the staff behind the scenes, not the patient. But if I had not gotten involved, this would not have been taken care of. A lot of time, frustration and phone calls were put into resolving this situation. If this was just the first time this had happened, it wouldn't have been so bad, but this seems to be the norm rather than an isolated situation. Someone needs to get control of this aspect of what otherwise is a great medical team.

I had such a phenomenal experience at my appointment with Dr. Burns, I wanted to share it. I was there to talk about my bloodwork results, general health and discuss any issues. He went through each result and indicated whether it was a concern or not. He listened to my feelings, valid or not, and explained what we might consider in the future, he was patient. End result, i felt confident and empowered to engage in a healthier lifestyle.

DR. Burns is a wonderful doctor. He cares for his patients as individuals, not patients.His staff is knowledgeable, patient and caring. I have given Dr. Burns card to many of my friends.

I have been going to Dr. Craig Burns since I moved to the area 5 years ago. I find him to be through and professional in his care of my health. I highly recommend Dr. Craig Burns . He is a good family doctor.
