About Dr. Rajesh Tota-Maharaj, MD
Rajesh Tota-Maharaj, MBBS,FACP, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist who is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He earned his medical degree at University of The West Indies Mt. Hope Medical Campus in Trinidad and Tobago and went on to complete prestigious fellowships at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow, and at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he treated patients requiring cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions. Dr Tota-Maharaj has won numerous awards for academic excellence and has published a number of studies investigating coronary artery calcium and its relationship to disease risk, mortality and coronary plaque burden.

Dr. Tota is a phenomenal Cardiologist. I had a few since I began having heart problems and he was the only one that helped me and pinpointed the problem. His patient relationship and bed side manners are impeccable. You don't see Doctors like him anymore. I been with Dr. Tota for over 5 years and I would never change him or go anywhere else. More Doctors should be like Dr. Tota-Maharaj. I trust him with my eyes closed and I don't trust anyone that easy. He's also my Wife's, my Best friend, and her Mother's Cardiologist as well.
