I get bloodwork and MRIs here, and I also see my PCP in the same facility. It's staffed with real professionals, from the admins to the medical personnel, and I rarely wait more than five minutes for a scheduled appointment. Today I showed up ten minutes early for bloodwork and was called in by a phlebotomist two minutes later. I've been coming here four plus times a year for several years and it's always good. Never even waited too long for blood tests when I didn't have an appointment! Beat that!

Orlando Health has great doctors. It is a shame that while they are excellent at taking care of their patients, they conveniently forget that waiting more than an hour to see them is NOT in the patients' best interest. It only adds to the stress, and in many cases, causes the patient to have to either postpone or cancel appointments that follow due to the excessive wait time. Unexpected emergencies happen, however, the lack of explanation of WHY the doctor is taking so long is atrocious, as it never happens.

I absolutely love Dr.Akram- he is a great doctor who is let down by his billing department. When my husband needed to visit a cardiologist he naturally went to Dr.Akram. Dr. Akram ordered an echo for my husband- the exact same test I had in October and the schedule was for their OFFICE near the Sand Lake hospital. I have been to the Sand Lake office numerous times since Dr. Akram practices at numerous OFFICES. My husband was charged for a hospital visit for the exact same procedure. As a result my insurance was billed $4000 versus $600 because the OFFICE is in "close proximity" to the hospital. We have the voice mails for this explanation which can only be described as highly irrational and just plain stupid We are pursuing complaints with regulatory authorities as a result. We have asked for this to be raised to the highest level within the company and we have asked UMR (our insurance carrier) to investigate as well, in addition to filing a complaint with Medicare because if they are using this dubious practice with UMR they are surely using it with Medicare as well. In addition, since our company insurance is self pay, I have alerted our head of HR because employees and the company should not be carrying this ridiculous charge.. I'm dumbfounded I'm having to resort to leaving a review and filing regulatory complaints while this company threatens to send us to collections. Beware of what OFFICE you go to when they offer you various appointments...based on their claims, they can charge you for a hospital visit if the OFFICE is near a hospital. It's a shame- Dr Akram is an excellent physician who is being sullied by dubious billing practices.

On one of my recent hospitalizations, one of your doctors publicly told your staff to discharge even when one of your Team Members informed him that he DOES NOT think that I was stable enough to be discharged. That particular doctor told him to discharge me anyway. In fact that particular doctor told him to "SEND HIM HOME. HE'S A 60 YEARS OLD MAN AFTER ALL. So they discharged me and a few days later my health crashed and I took a turn in the wrong direction which I'm still trying to recover from. ALTHOUGH I MAY BE SIXTY YEARS OLD, BUT PEOPLE ARE LIVING TO A BE A HUNDRED YEARS OLD IN GOOD HEALTH. IF NOT FOR THE COVID19 INDUCED HEART FAILURE I HAD NEVER BEEN HOSPITALIZED.

My first visit to doctor Lefran was excellent. He was on time, courteous, thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to get to know me and my health conditions. I am so glad he will be my cardiologist. His staff was great as well.
