After waiting more than a month for an appointment, now back to zero looking for a new doctor. The day of the appointment arrived 15 minutes early, as required by phone, to wait almost 3 hours and not be seen by the doctor or called to be seen. They were to close at 5pm sharp. Why they make appointments to make the patients lose their time and not receive care. He can be a good cardiologist but without proper patient and office management then is impossible to give proper and quality patient care. Very disappointed.

I saw this provider while I was in the hospital and he was very nice. He explained the procedure he needed to do and I felt comfortable. When I was discharged, I decided to go with him as my cardiologist. My first office appointment was scheduled for 9:30am, I arrived at 9:15. I waited and waited and was finally seen just after 10:30, and the doctor literally spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me. I was there to get either a holster monitor or a loop recorder, but he had no clue why I was there. I said I'd like to try the more non invasive option first, he said that was fine. I was then told to go to the front desk, which I thought was strange because I thought I was getting the monitor. I asked that question when his office called me to set my appointment. The woman told me that it was at the doctor's discretion whether I get the loop recorder or monitor at that same visit. So I go to the front desk window (had to go into the full waiting room and talk to the receptionist. No privacy!) and the receptionist said I'd have to go back the following week to get the device because the insurance company won't allow them to give the device the same day. They charged me $65 that morning so I asked if I would be charged another $65 to come back next week. She said I would. Well, I've been out of work for a month due to health issues so I couldn't do that as my funds are extremely limited. Exasperated, I told her I can't do that, thanked her, and left. As soon as I got home I called my insurance company because I was sure I had met my out-of-pocket cost for the year so why was I charged the $65?? According to the insurance company, they were not supposed to charge me but instead of looking for that information in the system, they just look to see if my insurance is active. So my insurance company contacted them to ask that they refund my money but evidently they said they can't. Next thing I know, I get a letter in the mail from Dr. Martinez's office stating that they are discharging me due to my refusal to follow medical advice and proceeding against medical advice!! Where?? When?? I'm absolutely shocked because that is not true but I will definitely find another provider! Save yourself the trouble and do the same!!!!

I've had a wonderful experience for the last 2 years with Dr. Edwin Martinez and his amazing team, including Diana and Shekina. Diana is incredibly sweet, professional, and always makes me feel comfortable and well cared for. Shekina is also outstanding--friendly, efficient, and always willing to help with a warm attitude. Dr.Martinez is an excellent cardiologist--knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. Together, they make a fantastic team, and I always feel confident and supported during my visits. Thank you all for your exceptional care and dedication!

Dr. Edwin is good, but the service is terrible. They give many appointments and make the patient wait for many hours, both in the waiting room and in the room. You ask the staff and the doctor for an explanation, and they say they can't do anything. They go on. This is a lack of medical ethics and respect for the patient.

2nd time coming to office to get test results. My appt was scheduled at 9am. Wait room was full when I came in. Too many patients scheduled for 9am. Another patient had appt at 8:45am was seen after 10. Too many patients and not enough chairs. 11:44am and still waiting. Martinez came into room at 11:10am, waiting for test results to be sent. Dissapointed and frustrated. Nowadays there is a lack of respect and consideration for patients. Practices expect you to be on time and cancel your appt or charge if not on time but my time is not respected...
After personally picking up results at imaging center, I returned to office and saw Dr. Martinez, he is very thorough and detailed when explaining results. He took his time and answered all my questions. Upon discharge, I was glad to see Shaquina at the front desk, kind as usual.
